Lou & Duke are responsible
#1
Zac has the offense at the top of most categories. He is fine.

We have the slowest safety room in the NFL and lacking talent on defense. That is on Duke.

Even with the lack of talent Lou has to be much better.

If we didnt have pathetic ownership, we should see if Vrabel would come asap and dismiss Lou. We should see if Mike Borgonzi would accept Duke's job and give him a real scouting department.

But we do have lousy ownership so accountability is not required.

Worst defense in the NFL with several defense heavy drafts.

That is the Bengals reality right now.

As to Zac:

The last drive of the half Cappa, who has been, by far, our worst Olineman this season gave up a huge sack. Then we had an incompletion leaving a 3rd & 17, the draw was the correct call.

On the final drive Zac did a call a pass and Burrow checked out of it.  But with oline getting beat a lot this game, risking a sack would have been horrendous.  Runing the ball there was fine.  The snap was bad and the hold was awful.

Zac wears me out at times, but we need this offense to keep humming and you need a head coach to do that, we lose OCs nonstop if not.

What I do love about the fan base is that they choose to ignore or deny who is responsible at the top. I love how there's confusion and even arguments about who is even in control as far as management goes.   Therefore there is never accountability even at the highest levels.  Hate the coach? Blame katie!  Or is it Mike? Oh well.  Just keep playing the same song

They have no idea how to draft. In the secondary Kirpatatrick was no 1st rounder Darqueze Dennard was a stiff, Willie Jackson, but they don't resign Bates. The last time they drafted a good corner was Hall and Joseph and they left as soon as they could just like Bates did. Players don't want to play for a Mike Brown's team, just like a quality coach wont go there to coach. Because winning starts at the top, and the top of this team is Mike Brown, the biggest loser ever in the NFL. People laugh at this team year in and year out.

Lou needs to go. The players are patently incapable of executing his defense. With the season dead anyway use the time to work through all the kids and see who has potential, and do it under a new DC who if they improve things enough can be kept. This should actually have happened last season when Burrow went down - instead we just lowered our draft position with nothing positive to show in exchange.

When you invest as much as Duke has in the defensive side of the ball and your a bottom 3 defense?

That calls for ownership to make changes... Duke or Lou needs to be either on the Hot Seat or Lit up and Fired tomorrow. The city of Cincinnati and giving leeway to their management team is beyond annoying. Admit you made a mistake and attempt to fix it. Waiting till the offseason or giving excuses is a middle finger to your fanbase.

I agree with these points. The Bengals were in position to win in OT. Only a sack or a holding call would have pushed them out of almost automatic FG range, and you know that was what the Ravens were going for. And at the end of the 4th quarter, after the sack and subsequent 3rd and 17, the run play was absolutely the correct call. An incompletion and the Ravens and Tucker would have made them pay at the end of the 4th quarter.

You have to expect the FG unit to do their jobs at the end of the game. They failed spectacularly.

The Bengals now need to have a miracle run -- a first-of-its-kind run to the playoffs. If they make it, it will be that much sweeter. But, for now, this is a very painful loss. Just not on Zac and Burrow's offense.

Time for a new voice on the defensive side of the ball..and give the rookies on the team alot of playing time..You gotta feel bad for the offensive players

"Fine" in the way when I ask the wife what's wrong.
"Oh, it's fine.........but....."

Nah, I'm not falling for that.

Wow, we went from people predicting Henry and Jackson would combine for 400 yds on the ground and losing by 30 to losing on a muffed snap in OT, and everyone wants the DC's head. Typical

This is what wasting a top QB looks like.

I put the blame on Duke and Zac.

There's only so much you can do with the lack of talent on our defense. Trey Hendrickson is basically the only player we have. Duke let too many good players walk and he failed to replace them. There were plenty of opportunities to make plays on Lamar Jackson but our guys weren't good enough. Go back and watch LJ stiff arm Sam Hubbard out of his uniform.

Joe Burrow has the offense at the top of most categories, not Zac Taylor. Zac Taylor's horrible play calling and decision making just lost us the game vs the Ravens. It also lost us the game vs the Patriots. On top of that, he never has the team prepared for the first few games. We'd be 3-1 with better play calling and a better coach.

Agree on the losing by 30 points (and I predicted a Bengals win), but Jackson and Henry did combine for 495 yards total!  I don't know if that is on the DC head or just lack of defensive talent, but that's a lot of yards given up!

Lou has more say on all defensive players with Duke. As it should be.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

No. Not on the ground. Henry and Jackson combined for  147 on the ground and Jackson also had 348 through the air. 4 of the air yards was to Henry, so 491 yards independently for Jackson and Henry.

Being responsible for failure and being held accountable for failure are two different things with this organization, for the most part.

Close the deal with offense we are 2-3... especially today's game, the Int  by Burrow is difference we are 0-2 having ball to close out game, just go 1-1
