I can this entire team blowing up and having a meltdown. Tee is gone, im not sure Chase will resign and I can see a scenario where Burrow wants out, and I cant blame him. Is there a chance Burrow goes to the front office demanding change and anything happens???? Coaches being fired, Zac giving up play calling, etc.

You seem like a nice person...

On one hand, we've seen Mims, Trent Brown, OBJ, and Karras play ok. Those 4 have allowed 6 sacks combined.
But Cappa and Volson have allowed 7 combined.
Bengals have gotten nothing from the likes of D'Ante Smith, Jackson Carman, Trey Hill, showing Pollack has not been able to turn water into wine.
Volson's into his 4th year and still playing inconsistent at times and downright getting destroyed other times.

After Hobby, Pollack would be the next on my list.

Wait...did you just tell me that in his 4th year, Volson is not a decent starting NFL guard yet? That's not what i was promised, dude.

Good ole Cordell and Cappa are #51 and #52 in the vaunted PFF grading system for guards, each in the mid 50s in passpro.

In total pressures, Cordell checks in tied for 4th in most pressures allowed, while Cappa is way down at 7th most and they're tied for 3rd and 2nd respectively in most sacks allowed.

Good times!

If we swapped KC's coaching with ours, do you think we would be a better team? What about Pittsburgh's, Balt's. Zac did'nt do anything different in the Super Bowl knowing our line could'nt block Aaron Donald, we lost because he trusted bad players to make a play. What's that say about his decision making?

I'll say out pass blocking is much better this year than in the last couple, but they can't seem to run block at all.

What would you have him do different? Kidnap Aaron Donald? We were trotting the JV out there.

I do believe our record would be better with Andy Reid. What do you want me to say/ A HOF coach with over 20 years experience is better than Zac in his 5th year?

No one here can deny that Zac has gotten the 2nd best results of any HC hired in the last 10 years.

Is he perfect? No. Is he a hell of a lot better than many Keyboard coaches assert? Yes.

Doubtful. OTOH, the coaches and team seem to act like tinkering around the edges of personnel and coaching staff will result in vast changes in performance. That's just delusional.

First, many teams can't stop Aaron Donald, that is why will be a 1st team HOF, second it is not that simple who is blocking him since he will move around the line.. If you watch the 4th and 1 play that ended the game, it was a breakdown by Hopkins the center, he was uncovered and did not drop back enough to help on a double of Donald, he was too late .. if he does a proper drop , Joe will get that ball off.

At this point i really don't see how lou keeps his job. I mean we can blame the personnel but someone is responsible for that part. I think they caught lightning in a bottle with there FA for a couple years and now it has all slipped away. I don't think it matters how many games we win or lose I don't think the organization will feel any urgency because we have Burrow and that's enough to keep up hopes that maybe we can turn it around year to year. I know it's the Not For Long league but it still amazes me how quickly things crumble.

It's not the coaching, as much as the people picking the coaches. They didn't care that Zac doesn't preach fundamental football, they wanted flash and bodies in the stadium. It's no great mystery as to why nobody wanted to be Zac's DC, and do you really think that a truly good OL coach will want to work with a guy who sees the running game as an afterthought?

Let me think.....ummmm NO

I believe ZT is guilty of, at many times, out thinking himself. On the now famous Eagles game 3rd and a foot and botched 4th and 1 to Chase.

Why try a trick? Why ponder it? You can hear JB yelling can-can before the Moss run on 3rd down. Why not just take a page out of the T. Brady playbook? break the huddle and go to the LOS and go for the instant catch em off guard sneak. It's a friggin foot away and in the mass of bodies very hard to say he didn't get it.

What was the play Joe canned? Why did he have Chase running all over the field telegraphing what was about to happen.

And speaking of Chase, is Zac just wasting his talents away? I mean all that speed and elusiveness, some of the best hands and body skills in the game, yet Zac continues to throw him dink/dunk passes where he get's pinballed around and has to fight for every yard.

Extra help is what I was talking about. Zac should've had more guys to block, 2rbs maybe, but he decided to roll with 5 linemen on the biggest play of the game. That's completely on him.

Sure they can.

Sean McVay - hired by LA in 2017. Two trips to the Super Bowl, 1 win

Doug Pederson - hired by Philly in 2016. Won Super Bowl with backup QB

Kyle Shanahan - hired by SF in 2017. Two trips to the Super Bowl with two different QB’s

Bruce Arians - hired by Tampa in 2019. Won Super Bowl
