This off-season I hope they try to sign Uche or Azeez Ojilairi as possible rotational pass rushers... but giving up any kinda future capital for a half season rental during a losing season is bad roster management.

Edit: Bengals are currently in a similar situation with Tee Higgins half year left not coming back next year losing season...

I would argue that making not making any moves in an attempt to make your team even a little better for the final 9 games is worse than bad roster management with a late day 3 pick...it's being passive and complacent.

Remember, they're currently 9th in the playoff standings...so the season is still very much alive.

Exactly, as much as the fans want to throw the season away, it isn't there yet. This is just reality and sitting on our hands like you say is
just complacent and shows the fans we aren't even trying.

It’s not like the Chiefs got the guy the Bengals had to have it’s that they are still working on getting better. Their FO is only focused on winning the SB and it shows. The 2 time defending SB champs and only undefeated team left are out there still trying to make their team better.

Meanwhile in Cincinnati…

Truth and while I think the Chiefs won't get the repeat you cannot help but not like the effort from their FO.

Yep. And they sit on their asses hoarding draft picks that will turn out to be nothing.

Chiefs just traded for Joshua Uche who is a pass rusher. Only 2 sacks this year, but 20.5 in his career. 6th Round pick. He's an OLB too. 240 lbs.

That's just it. What are the odds that a 6th or 7th Round pick will be a good player here? Really low.

IF we can use that to get a player that is a starter....you do it.

Texans need a WR now that Diggs is out for the season. The Texans originally gave a 2nd round pick to the Bills for him. The Bengals have a WR who is on a one-year franchise tag contract, who requested a trade, and who might get the Bengals a good return from the Texans. I'm not sure they can even trade Higgins after the season, and the choice might be to sign a second franchise tag with him (is he worth it with his injury history?) or just lose him with no compensation.

Chase Young??

His NFL career has been lack luster for sure and injury problems abound. But is it worth a shot ??

The front office needs to be realistic annd honest with themselves. And only they know the answer. If they aren’t going to resign Tee, or even Franchise Tag, they desperately need to trade him now.

I watched him in Washington. No need for him here unless it is beyond dirt cheap and I still wouldn't expect much.

Isn’t our LT banged up and we already lost two tackles for the year and we are starting a rookie at RT already?

Vikings got Cam Robinson and a conditional 7th for a 5th.

I think the team kept Tee because they thought the Bengals had enough talent for a Super Bowl run this year. I agreed with that. But after going 0 and 4 at home, and with only 3 wins (against pretty weak teams) at nearly the half-way mark, it's time to be practical and see if they can get a 2nd round pick for Tee from some desperate team.  If they don't get such an offer, fine. But they should at least be exploring the options. Because they will probably lose Tee for nothing in the offseason and the evidence so far is that the Bengals don't have the defense to compete for a Super Bowl.
