I've mentioned this a few times now, but Burrow is 33-30-1 as a QB. It would pain me to see him fall to a career losing record. No more losses for the rest of the season, please.

I thought that loss meant we weren’t a Super Bowl team. I didn’t think we weren’t even a .500 or playoff team. Been a rough season. At this point, as fans, we need to root for losses. What good does wins do us? We were in the same position last year, and many including myself, wished to lose out to get higher draft picks. Many on here wanted to win to “gain momentum”. Where was that momentum? I guess it doesn’t work that way if you lack talent. How are the bengals going to add talent? In the way they know best, the draft. So besides making yourself feel good with some pointless wins, what good does it do the team? Never go the loser route....

It’s taking short term sadness in exchange for a better future. Hopefully. It basically boils down to higher draft pick is better than winning meaningless games that obviously don’t carry over to the next season in any way.

Of course if I was a player on the bengals, I’d still want to win
But I’m not. I’m just a fan. All I want is a top 10 pick. I will accept 11, but nothing higher It's because you are of such profound wisdom, Frank Booth. - SunsetBengal

I may have been paraphrasing but I know I read the Enquirer writer something similar in this piece. Here's a quote directly from Joe. Maybe I'm reading into that quote. “I would say we need to change a lot of things this year,” Burrow said. “We haven't been good enough to win games.

Sucks man, but if he does get a losing record by the end of the season, he might have a better chance at turning it around next season if we can add a game changer somewhat early in the 2025 Draft. As bad as this Defense is, we should be better next season regardless with new coaching and should get back to winning more games than not. Burrow is not the problem and everyone knows that.

You mentioned it a few times now, but there's very little chance we finish 0-5 so it's not a real worry that you need to keep mentioning. Now if Zac is still HC and we go our traditional 0-2 to start the season, THEN you'd have Burrow with potentially a losing record. ____________________________________________________________

Besides, a higher draft pick accomplishes nothing with the ones pushing the buttons on draft day for this crummy organization. They accidentally tripped and fell backwards into Burrow and Chase. Win out, eff it.

If we think that moving up 3 or 4 spots in the draft is going to make huge difference, we're not understanding the problem at hand.

Burrow's win loss record isn't up to snuff, and he is being held back by this organization. Many of us were pissed when the pundits all said it would happen around the 2020 draft. The Bengals ownership is happy to pay Joe, raise ticket prices, and sit back while the roster deteriorates around him.

No and I don't even remember the particulars of the games folks bring up. What I do know, if the Bengals were playing I was rooting for them to win. I've never said that anyone who roots for a loss in not a true fan, but it's just a mentality I cannot associate with.

I’m not sure how getting better players through the draft, which we really rely on. What if we didn’t pick #5 when we took chase. What if we were 6 or 7. What if we were 2 and missed burrow. Higher draft pick is always better, without a doubt. Regardless if you pick a player that busts. Please give me a reason why winning is going to help the team next year? What good did going 9-8 last year do?

The difference between picking in the top 10 to 18 is huge.

Yeah, but he fell due to injury concerns, great pick though that is for sure. Very rare to get a player like Mims that late in the first IMO. He was definitely the most talented OT in that Draft IMO. |
