Finalists are Graham and Golden.

I wonder if they’ll still be high on Golden once the world watches TOSU put up 35+ on them boys in the NCG.

Lack of athleticism at the position is still here...

his defense was not good @ Dallas..and there were a boatload of issues with Zimmer his last two years with MN

I hope not.  Those are not good choices for a team trying to win a championship.  Graham's defense this year was tied with Lou's in points given up.  We go from a coach whose defense gave up an average of 25.5 points per game to another coach whose defense gave up 25.5 points per game.  The other choice is Lou's former LB coach that has no NFL DC experience and whose success has come by being at one of the top destinations for recruits.  It's no more impressive to have one of the top defenses at Notre Dame than it is Ohio State.  Either one of those coaches could turn out to be good DC's but I would have expected better candidates from a team trying to win a Super Bowl.

Well, against the AFC North I think we would be better with Zim than Lou but that isn't saying much and like I said, we would probably
be worse against the Chiefs and Bills so yeah, have to agree with you here. Zim is not the man for our DC job, plus it looks like he wants
to retire anyways and I heard it is between Graham and Golden. Neither one get me really excited damn it. Whatever

Eberflus was who I wanted the most of the ones interviewed. Just watch Golden's D get torched by the Buckeyes this weekend...

Beat me to it. Hopefully they go back to Eberflus if Golden's D gets embarrassed too bad...

Graham does nothing for me. Mellow

Graham's defense was just as bad as Lou's and that's one of your two finalists to improve the defense?  I dont understand the Bengals organization.

Graham is the guy I'm rooting for. I like the fact that he's willing to play young guys and to adapt his scheme if things aren't working.

In his 6 years as a DC...he's had 3 top 15 defenses, was top 10 in points allowed twice and passing defenses that were 16th or better 4 times. So he has had some success, to go along with some struggles.

The Raiders were a total fustercluck this season, but he kept the defense playing respectable, ranking 15th overall...and played tough in both games against the Chiefs. If the Bengals D had ranked 15th this year, they might have won the division.

I wouldn't put too much faith in Rapien. They may still be looking and waiting for the playoffs to be over. Who knows...

I don't know if it was as bad as Lou's Defense. Lou's was historically bad, but still not the DC I was wanting, I want a top guy.

Eberflus had a dang good 4-3 Defense in the NFL. Top 10, not just mid pack like Graham.

Thanks Holic, made me feel better if it is Graham as I always respect your opinion as you are all common sense. I can overreact as most
Bengals fans can when it comes to these things, but we need to get this right. Being top 10 in points allowed twice is good and if we just
have a mid pack Defense we would be a Super Bowl contender. Still, I am greedy and want a top 10 Defense that is great at something.

But yeah, from what you are saying here, Graham should be an upgrade over Lou. Not saying much after last year though.

I think Eberflus would be more of a sure thing just my opinion.

If we do pick Graham, I wish we could make something happen to get Mad Maxx to go along with him somehow, I know, dreaming...

Yeah, this is my hope, I don't like this crap saying we are down to 2 guys, neither of which are inspiring. Christian Parker is the assistant
DC on the Eagles and would love to give an up and comer who has learned from a great coach a shot.

I must be lame but I found it a touch funny reminds me of our old Kicker back in the day as well who wasn't always Golden...

Why haven't we heard anything about OL coach progress updates?
That one I feel like they should be able to do and should be doing in parallel with the DC search.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs

Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

I’d like to think they have their eye on an assistant from Philly or Detroit, but who knows.

defense will either have players that are athletic..can think and can tackle..or it wont ..regardless of the coordinator..I sure wish all the armchair coaches  would stop talking about scheme or division..The AFC north is not so great anymore and other teams in the league in the league also play in cold weather, run the football and are punishing
