2025 NFL Combine Open Thread
#41
Collin Oliver had fallen off my radar due to injury and size concerns. He's not even a tweener, but LB size.
Jordan Burch placed himself squarely into the tweener category; looking very Zach Carter.
Pearce being Pearce; everyone seems to be looking for problems that IMO aren't there.
CJ West incredibly athletic for a run-stopping DT/NT. Probably moved up to day 2.

I hear they used a stopwatch to measure Nick Emmanwori's jumps. Ninja

Impressive. Is the hoop drill new? I don't remember it?

No. It's the best bend drill for DL.

Doesn't look like Xavier Watts is going to run.

I've been high on CJ West for a while.

Rumor has it Emmanwori will run a 4.4 forty or lower. That is very fast for a big saftey.

Why many say he may surpass Starks andbe drafted in top 10.

Mason Taylor is having a combine after having a Senior Bowl. I can see the Bengals picking him at #49.

Just turned in on, his gauntlet was sick. Looks like my boy Ferguson led the way on the measurables.

And then he falls down

Nah. It would have been more of a surprise if he wasn't fast.

Emmanwori ran a 4.38, under the 4.40 i had heard he would run. It was no surprise he is fast and killed the combine, but he still had to do it. How many guys show up with hype and miss their height and weight. Or miss their projected times.

If he is there at 17, i hope we consider taking him.

He played a lot of linebacker in college. Some say that LB was where he looked the most comfortable. Now he blows up the combine. Sounds exactly like Dax Hill.

Bolton is an undersized LB in KC. I don't think he has the physical traits Of Nick Emmanworr, but it is a very good LB. The right DC could draft him and build a defensive schenme with him. Not many safties can play LB or LB play saftey or in the slot. My guess he would be great blitzing as well with experience.

I determine players i covet by first thinking, i sure don't want to play against that guy 2x a year. I think he is going to be a very good football player quickly in the NFL.

He could certainly be good. Either as a half field or a STAR backer type. But for every Derwin James or Honey Badger there are a lot of Taylor Mays types that don't give you that. For my money, I'd only spend a first or second round pick on a safety if I thought that they could grow into a good centerfielder.

I stand by my first round preference before the combine started, the Bengals run to the podium if Warren is there…if not, Jihaad Campbell or Emmanwoni need to be selected with a slight preference to Campbell. I want a player who can do multiple things taken in round 1.
