Tobin on his way out?

Yeah, in the end it don't look too bad at all. Good moves with Ja'Marr's spread contract for 5 years and Tee's incentive laden contract.

I want Tee to make his money playing all the games he possibly can....

Last year Tee really shown me he is just growing into the Receiver he could be. Those clutch hand snatch catches with 2 dudes draped over him
were badazz. Love that Tee can be here with his favorite team, always loved the guy just didn't want our Bengals to suffer for it.

Trenches baby, get a couple Guards please for the new OL coach Peters to work with. We can draft Defense, RB and TE.

We know three reasons Tobin is staying: Burrow-Higgins-Chase.

Still nothing he said in his presser has come true as per his plan this was all done before FA to free up funds for bringing in outside talented FA....

Matter of fact his fears are realized (we have the same team just more expensive).

Chase was always going to get done.

Looks that way! However, it took longer than he appeared to want.

This thread will not age well. The negative Nancy's in. the forum exposed one more time.  Anyone who says no big deal, Chase was going to be signed, but also Bengals are cheap should turn in their fandom or fess up and admit they were a putz.

This thread wasn't about Bengals being cheap or anything like that so not sure why that comment is here.

Tobin didn't have much say in this either as we all know now Chase's agent was the driving force behind getting Tee wrapped up.

This thread was never going to be put to rest if Chase and Tee signed. Listen to the presser and tell me where we are at in his master plan?

I’d say it aged about as well as a gallon of milk on the counter of an Arizona house without air conditioning in August…

Has FA finished? He said he wasn't going to make anyone else's team better by letting Tee go. Everyone on this planet knew Chase was going to get done so you're not telling us anything new.

FA is done

Unless you still holding out for guards that nobody wants.

Nonsense. Utter nonsense.

We are gonna be looking at over $33 mil in cap space (top 51) after Chase & Higgins' numbers come in. We'll 100% sogn at least 1 guard (Jenkins, Hernandez, Scherff, Risner), if not 2. If it is only 1 G, I'd say one more defender (at any spot) is very likely (Smith, Campbell, Gilmore, Simmons, Blackmon, etc).

I actually heard that Gilmore might find Cincy a nice landing spot.

Do you have some inside scoop or just being pessimistic again?

Signing a G or DE opens up the draft sp much that you only have to take the other one with one of the first 3 picks.  Smith could start and if he wants to showcase himself it makes sense.  I'd even take a pass rush specialist like Von Miller.

My guess is they extend Trey, then figure out where they are cap space wise. They'll budget for the draft picks.

Extending Trey may eat most of the remaining space.

Of course, they could trade Pratt which I doubt, or waive Moss to free up more space.

What DE is still out there worth signing? Clowney? But, I doubt they could afford him now.

IF they sign a Guard, my guess is it's $5 million or less. Might be why Scherff hasn't signed here. I'm sure they'd like him, but he probably wants more at this point.

Yall really living in a fantasy world believing the Bengals will dish out two 100m contracts and still sign a number of FA's....

Chase, Tee and maybe Trey is the FA period.

Living a fantasy that they'll sign them and then go on a FA spending spree (with no FA left worth anything in a weak FA class) is showing an amazing lack of knowledge about how the FO works. They are sitting back celebrating free agency with the extensions.

Let's not confuse pessimism with realism.

Those who screamed they can sign TEE and still go on a FA spending spree are the ones on the hot seat and defensive about this thread. We'll see how right you guys were.

Oh there's still free agents worth signing. The Browns just signed a DT for $10 million a year that has pass rushing.

I believe Asante Samuel Jr is still out there. Rasul Douglas also at CB. Blackmon at S. Mike Hilton. Justing Simmons at S.

I'd take Blackmon at S right now.

That said, I doubt they have much cap space after extending Trey.

Well there are people out there (not sure if they move the needle) but we can't think like we are the GM's. We have to think like the Bengals. And extending the big 3 is a significant accomplishment and there is a reason most teams felt they couldn't (because of the toll it would take on the cap and filling out the rest of the roster).

Will Hernandez might take a one year prove it deal to show he is healthy. Scherff might be chasing an elusive rings and if he thinks the bengals could make a run he might come. Same for z smith or c Campbell. Campbell signed a $2,000,000 deal last year.
