Welcome Shamar Stewart
#81
I mean I did like his tape...

Hated his production on SACKS.

If sacks weren't a D line stat he probably was a top 10 prospect

Im ngl it almost seems like the Bengaks wanna draft flawed guys to get discounts on 2nd contracts

Zabel, Jackson, Harmon, Starks, Emmanwori, Campbell, Barron, Johnson. They all make us better Day 1.

I don't think Stewart does. We needed holes filled. Not more question marks.

You don't call a D2 OL changing positions with short arms and a couple of guys coming off severe injury risky picks?

I'm not saying I"m really happy with the Stewart pick, but let's not act like there were safe picks available in this weak class.

Even his most optimistic comparisons, Rashan Gary and Travon Walker, were generally considered busts until about halfway through their 2nd seasons in the NFL.

So maybe he'll be really good in 2027! Big Grin

Sounds like he can get into the backfield, it’s just that he can’t finish. Maybe he can chase the QB into Hendrickson.

I would laugh.  Good luck dealing with that circus.  Deion may tell him to pull an Elway, lmao!

Tobin makes the pick and Zac’s the HC but this pick is on Golden.
He’s the new DC so you know he had major input on this pick so he and his coaches better (quickly) develop Stewart into a stud pass rusher.

Yeah, was hoping the stealers would take Shedeur but the Stains taking him would be a close second on the big top. Mellow

Yeah but he will be just fine there - look at their impressive history of drafting QBs!

The rich get richer
Another stud defensive player for the Eagles. I don’t like them but that franchise knows how to build a team

For damn sure, to act like this was solely one guy's pick is also not reality. It was all these people together even if they wanted Nolen and panicked a
touch like I think they may have which was unprofessional if true. Have to have a backup plan that wasn't unproductive or a character concern.

Too bad Shemar was as unproductive as he was, but he was disruptive and has crazy talent and we do need this.

They can afford to wait for his shoulder to heal up.

Yes I guess if Treys still here and Stewart can get pressure then we know Trey will finish. Just flush the QB out Stewart!

For the record ,I hope I am wrong and the kid turns into a good football player. But he just isn't one right now.

At least he does show effort in tape and does have those measureables.

And the SBnation article was appreciated and a good read.

Browns, Steelers, Ravens, and Eagles all did good. Expect KC will, too .

After Nolen was picked, I was all, "nooooo, goddamnit."

Then Stewart was picked and I let out a louder ,"nooooooooo WTF GODDAMNIT!"

Then I stepped away for a few picks, came back and I'm over it. We need to root him on and hope for the best, can't do anything about it now, just deal with it and hope for the best.

Let's get more trench tomorrow. If Eman somehow makes it down to us, that would be awesome.

And the Chiefs nab Simmons.

We were the only AFC team over .500 to do something stupid.

Still need defensive help tomorrow and a guard. Going to be some good players available so hopefully they can take a stud player who also fits a need position.

Don’t think Emmanwori will be there but Watts or Ratledge would be awesome.

Would love Emmanwori at 49, wild.

Coming off bad injury and OSU OL have been bad in the NFL lately.

Good for them Chiefs, happy we didn't pick Simmons after hearing about his injury.

We won't know if we did something stupid until mid season honestly. Neither will any of these other teams.

So you put Ossai on Stewart's back and have him hop off and get the sack once they get into the backfield. Wasted
