I guess I understand what you are saying better now. As long as Trey and Shemar are ready to go by the regular season I am pretty happy
about this Offseason. I know everyone wanted the big names at Guard, but we don't know if those names fit the scheme like Patrick and
Fairchild must. We also don't know if a player like Scherff is ready to retire or that Hernandez is even healthy.

I don’t think some are being fair to the Bengals FO/Ownership. Signing Tee & Chase was huge and by far the biggest priority. Then was Trey. They really want Trey but I think that he and his agent aren’t being realistic from what I’ve heard. I get it Trey loves Cincinnati as he and his wife are very settled.A big long term contract to finish his career is his wish. Doubtful he’s getting a long term contract. The Bengals I’ve made this analogy. They are the guy in your poker group who hardly raises unless his hand is likely to win. He takes no chances. He never wins the most or loses the most. They don’t expose themselves on aging players.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

I get that, it is just Trey hasn't shown any signs of falling off yet. To just assume he will fall off might not be a good move here. They have the money
to pay him 32 mil per year for at least a couple years. If Trey is passing on that, that is his bad honestly. That is double what he is making now this year.

Trey seems to be a good guy..and he has a really good 5-6 games a year when he accumulates all his sacks..the rest of the time he appears to be stck in a college wrestling match with the opposing tackle..defense stunk with hendrickson and if the team has not rectfified the other deficiencies it will not matter if trey us here or not..I would not ...not even close...double his salary and extend the legth of his contract...but thats just me.

Here's one of those lies i was talking about. This has already been specifically debunked and has zero truth in it. Not opinion. Fact.

Next week is training camp. If Bengals don't have one of the two in camp of Hendrickson and Stewart, then at that point I'll predict Bengals to lose in Cleveland and in September. Bengals will continue getting off to bad starts. Some may blame Hendrickson and Stewart. If Bengals lose in September, many will blame Coach Taylor. How I will put all the blame on Mike Brown and Family, because I've seen decade of Mike Brown and Family ruining the teams chances with their cheap and stupid moves.
I now highly doubt either will be in training camp next week. So I predict Cleveland Browns will go through Bengals swiss cheese defense and beat our Bengals, as Bengals lose again week one. As always, they will have built in excuses why they aren't ready to start the season. Those thinking at Cleveland will be easy, it normally isn't. Look for Cleveland to show up ready and Cincinnati to show up not ready. Thanks Mike Brown and Family.
See, its not just not having Hendrickson. It's also not having a #1 draft pick from this year, which means they blew the draft completely. Bad news for Bengals who have been one of worst defensive teams in NFL last few seasons. A defense that needed help, gets no help and gets even worse. No pass rush means any NFL quarterback will have all day to throw and move the chains and burn the Bengals like toast all game long. Many games Burrow will have to run for his life, but other teams QB will have all day to throw. In short, Bengals will lose in The Trenches, especially on defensive line. Again, thanks Mike Brown and Family as they seem to be putting together another Mike Brown 4 win only season, not a run back to Super Bowl.

Every team has their #1 draft pick signed except Bengals. Way to go Mikey Boy and Family. Hey Mikey, he likes it.

I don't know why people focus on what other teams are doing. Who cares if they signed their picks earlier than we did?

It may or may not matter with Stewart. The slotted salaries makes it easier. I think the big thing is that they have a major difference in contract wording, so 1 side will need to give in to settle this. I doubt the Bengals cave.

It matters because it looks like Mike Brown and Family will not sign him at all. A total waste of Bengals first round pick. So it does matter that all other NFL teams signed their 1st round pick in time to be in training. It matters that Mike Brown & Family are the worst front office in NFL. To those already looking to 2026 draft, what is the point if Bengals don't sign their draft picks anyway.
Yes, it does matter that all the players picked before Stewart and picked after Stewart are signed. It means there are contracts Bengals can go by of the other 31 teams and get their pick in here at a contract much like other signed picks by the 31 other teams. 31 teams signed their #1 pick and Bengals are only team that looks like they won't. If he is not signed, he goes back in the draft next season to another team. It means Bengals completely blew the 2025 draft. It does matter.
If they don't get Hendrickson or the #1 pick in here, then look for Cleveland 34, Bengals 20 as Bengals start off losing in September as usual. It does matter.
31 owners signed their top picks, except for always Cheap, Cheap, Cheap Mike Brown.
Th winnng concept is too add players and build a good team around Burrow, Chase and Higgins, not to go Cheap, Cheap, Cheap on defense as Mike Brown is dong.

I realize that's a popular sentiment around here, but c'mon. Worst in the league? The Browns, Jags, Panthers and several others beg to differ.

Burrow and Chase are not going to decide outcome of games. We've had Burrow and Chase and have been missing play-offs due to no defense. Without defense, Burrow and Chase can not win. I will repeat that. Without defense, Burrow and Chase can not win.

It is a sport Sled. It is competition. You are supposed to compare your team to every team, it is what is all about.

You miss the point kevin..but you are incorrect..in fact burrow and chase..and other superstars like them do detrmine games.. as bad as our defense was kast year..we finished with a winning season because of joe burrow and chase........
our defense does need dramatic improvement and the bengals have addresed such both with coaching changes, the draft and FA...you have been posulating ad nauseum that without Hendickson the defense is sunk..wrong..hendickson is only a small piece of the puzzle

And 50% of the time ..just like with any team in sports new player acquisitions and coaching changes dont work out...its a wash...best to focus on your own team
