Reds got bad news today. Spiers is going to undergo Tommy John surgery and be out through most if not all of next year.

How did he go from shoulder impingement syndrome to TJ?

Probably in his age 29 season then by the time he is fully healthy (assuming he does)... career 5.69 ERA and 1.573 WHIP. Might just be it for him.

Have you not heard of Tejay Antone? They hold onto almost everybody, well at least it seems that way.

He'll probably be coming out of the pen in 2027. I had more hope than confidence that he would be a starter anyway.

Difference with Antone is that he was really good when he was healthy.

'20-'21: 2.48 ERA, 0.957 WHIP

So there's always that potential high reward for if Antone stayed healthy. Spiers is the unlucky combination of both bad and unhealthy, where he'd probably be DFA'd even if he were healthy.

Congrats to India. A walk off, three run homer in game 1 of a double header and it was vs Clase who had hit him in the head with a 99 MPH cutter earlier in the year.

E6? Not sure i agree with that especially since he didn't touch the ball. Either way Reds still lead now!

Relying on unearned runs to win. Classic 2025 Reds. Lol

(But hey, if they hold on, a W is a W.)

It went right towards his glove and he just whiffed. That's an error all day long.

Don't know if i'd call it a whiff when it takes an unexpected higher hop.

Tito had every right to be pissed. Clearl strike 3 and the ump missed it. Smh.

And now Fraley takes a strike 3 call and a ball higher than the one called a ball that got Tito run. What a joke. Amazed Fraley didn't get tossed there.

So, has Joe done anything good this year?

Watches a pitch right down the middle and swings at a ball way inside...

Because it WAS a strike against Fraley.

Messing up once doesn't mean you should then willfully mess up twice or more.
