Wild, a $25,000 dollar anonymous donation! Shocked

Pretty cool they had to shut down the GoFundMe account so fast. Wink

I'm not a frequent poster on here but I've been perusing the threads for the better half of a decade (and was on the old bengals board too) so I'm quite familiar with Brad the poster.

However, I wasn't familiar with Brad's story as I'm not local and really have no ties to Cincy/ Northern KY. But after reading this entire thread, I can truly say you're an inspiration to us all. We're similar ages and I can't imagine being as positive as Brad has been over the last 25 years and then now this.

Keep up the good fight! You'll forever inspire more people than you'll ever realize.

BIG THANKS to Harley for letting everyone know what happened and for the updates!

I’m sorry that I haven’t responded until now but I didn’t even see the thread when I checked after Harley sent me a Facebook message because I didn’t even think to look in the little section above the other threads!

I am following the team and doing my best in therapy to recover!

Tomorrow is big because I go back to the ortho surgeon to find out if my fractured pelvis is healed enough for me to go home because I am currently not allowed to put any weight on it. PLEASE PRAY that I can!

I have a long list of injuries (six broken ribs, broken arm in two places, collapsed lung, scalp laceration, etc), but I’m a fighter and I PROMISE that I’ll get through all of this!

WHO-DEY!

You insprire us all Brad. I hope you are down at PBS in 2025 watching the AFC and Super Bowl champs.

If I did not know it was true, I would not believe it. Netflix or a movie producer needs to make a movie about Brad's life. We are up to date and getting his story and progress. This is story that would inspire around the world. I love Brad won't allow the horrible circumstances he as endured to take away his fight and positive outlook.

It would be normal to feel these devastating injuries and go into deep depression and lose one's zest for life. Not Brad, he may take a minute, but he quickly tells Bengals nation on Jungle noise he will keep smiling. Simply amazing stuff!!!!

Brad has come a long way on these Boards. I remember back a few years(maybe even going back to the official Bengals Boards) when he would get eviscerated for some of his posts about this team or FO. Now he has a whole community behind him and wishing him a speedy recovery and others who have even donated to his long term care.

I know I probably would've left this board permanently after some of the pile ones he took but not him. He seems to be a huge inspiration to others now. I like to think its because of his positive attitude and mental toughness to overcome a life changing accident, not once but twice. Looking forward to seeing you back on here regularly Brad!

I’m still planning on being at every home game brother!

Hopefully I can keep improving so it’s realistic, but I don’t see why I couldn’t go, especially since no one else is around me in my seats!

Not sure if Mickey is reading this board, but I have both personal experience (from bypass surgery) and professional experience from my years working Medicaid Fraud. Insurance companies suck. You will have to appeal that ruling, and you will most likely lose. You will then have to appeal the appeal, which you will also most likely lose. They hope to wear you down and you either just pay the bill yourself, or you just go away. Your go to, after the appeals, is to file a complaint with the State Insurance Commission. (You can do this online) Humana refused to pay my closing doctor's bill for 4K for over two years, and I was being threatened with collections. I wasn't going to pay it, because it was emergent surgery, I was in an In Network Hospital with an In Network thoracic surgeon, and the closing surgeon was only out of network one day due to clerical error (the day I had surgery)I filed the complaint with the commission, and it was paid, along with an apology letter stating it was overlooked and should have been paid day one, and please do not dock our rating. The insurance companies are scared to death of the Commission, because if they get dinged enough, they can be banned from selling any insurance in Kentucky.

Please don't tell anyone because I don't want visitors yet, but I got home last night, SO I'M HOME FOR THE FIRST PRESEASON GAME!

I'm thrilled to be alive and to have escaped a second near-death experience with minor injuries!

Thank you to everyone for all the prayers and support and hopefully this road to a "full" recovery will go hand-in-hand with a road to a Super Bowl-winning season!

I hope a lot of you at the games!

Awesome news. I will be going to the home opener (my 1st time ever in Ohio/going to a Bengals home game).
Hope I can make it over to meet you. Stay strong

Glad to hear you are at home man. That had to suck being in the hospital all that time in pain.

Gave you my prayers bro as soon as I heard and as others say you are an inspiration to us all. Get better.

In the mean time need to see our Bengal starters do well tonight on a series or two and then pull them against the Champs.

Guess I'm glad I missed this whole ordeal so I didn't have to worry and you're already very much on the mend.

I think the Bengals should go ahead and win the Super Bowl for you. What do you think?

God bless you, Brad and I will pray for your continued recovery. I've always appreciated having you around here, and love your positivity. Take care brother.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.

Sounds good! I'll definitely be there!

You can stir by the crippled section and/or I'll meet you out somewhere before and/or after the game!

Thanks brother! I liked what I saw (besides for the defense!), so let's hope for a big year!

That would make me forget about the whole ordeal!

I'd also make sure I went to the Super Bowl game!

You are welcome. Burrow and the Offense looked fantastic. Chase Brown is looking like he might have a monster year if he keeps that up
and the OL blocks like that in the running game. The Defense will get better under Golden, was a nice wake up call. I did see better tackling
but the Defense needs to get more pressure from the interior. Kris Jenkins had one good run stop but that was it. McKinnley Jackson needs
to be playing earlier, he played really good and had 2 Tackles for loss.
