Bengals to host Dalton Risner on a FA visit

Russell Wilson was such a Prima donna in Denver.   Im going to put the blame on Wilson for starting that.

I heard it was a dislocated shoulder. Nothing official or any severity though.

Love this news. As bad as the Trey news pissed me off yesterday this news has me feeling very optimistic. Need to get him signed but I fully expect him to be signed as I dont think the asking price will be too much.

This is another one of those "typical Bengals things". Yes I'm glad they are brining in Guard competition. Pissed they are still being reactive and not proactive with their roster.

Interesting timing with the game in a couple hours.

Let's see how Patrick responds...

Trey won't be traded.

It beats being inactive, but I'd say any move made before the Regular Season is proactive.

I didn't like the depth to begin with at IOL.

This might be more than just Patrick.

We know Patrick hasn't been performing well.
Cody Ford hasn't done well at RG.
Jalen Rivers is already being tried at Guard after not doing well at OT, resulting in Ford being considered as the swing OT again.
Volson is being tried at C, assuming that's because he's not impressing at OG right now.

This feels like a culmination of them needing Ford outside and none of the Guard candidates are worth a damn.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs

Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Oh, was it Wilson? If so, then I guess that makes sense.

I also heard today that league execs don't think he's as good as his pff scores would indicate. But even if that is true he would still be very valuable to us. I also heard he can be outspoken and abrasive.

Every OL needs that gritty guy with a bit of a short temper, the one that needs "reeled in" every now and again. Having that guy in the group prevents the other 4 from letting too much shit slide by. (like unnecessary hits on Joe B that someone should have started the uprising over..) I had hoped that Volson was going to be that guy, but it didn't come to fruition.

Exactly, this would be a very good signing if he is healthy.

It was like the 2nd or 3rd string QB, can't remember the name, sorry.

Defense might have found that in shemar. Vontaz had it.

I'm old enough to remember a young Andrew Whitworth getting upset over a play and just going full beast mode. This is before he moved out to Tackle.

It was Rypien not Wilson

I don’t think he’d do that to Burrow - if he did I think OBJ/Mims might have something to say to him. Those are some huge dudes.
Also, they would probably just cut him on the spot for pushing the franchise. Not worried about this at all…sign him.

An offseason consisting of extending:

Chase
Tee
Trey

Plus also adding Slaton, Fant, and Risner would be a success. Even with all the drama. They’re so close to pulling it off just make it happen.

At that point safety would pretty much be the only position that worries me.
