Plus also adding Slaton, Fant, and Risner would be a success. Even with all the drama. They’re so close to pulling it off just make it happen.
At that point safety would pretty much be the only position that worries me.
I think you should also add getting the lease deal done as a success as well

Yeah, the lease deal is nice and all, but what really matters to fans of a team with Joe Burrow as the QB is winning the SB. Them going the cheapo route with Trey, the RG position and SS shows that the management is content with putting fans in the seats rather than going big for a title.

True, but getting the lease deal done takes a major issue off Katie Blackburn's plate and clarifies a major line item on their budget. For a team that micromanages every dime flowing in and out of their coffers, knowing how much they will have to spend on their stadium for the next 20 years is huge

I wonder if this upcoming visit will drive Patrick to a great showing tonight

He is depth IMO no matter how he plays tonight we would not be bringing this guy in if he won the job.
We need better depth anyway Patrick can back up LG, center and RG.

You are spot on Pally, that was probably a long and tedius negotiation, but some fans refuse Katie credit for anything. You probably spent many hours on it and now can focus on other items.
On to 2025, let's save the drama for the off season.

Great news, hope they get it done quickly. I remember when La'el Collins was visiting and all the drama that followed after it looked like he wasn’t gonna sign with us.

I don’t think he’d do that to Burrow - if he did I think OBJ/Mims might have something to say to him. Those are some huge dudes.
Also, they would probably just cut him on the spot for pushing the franchise. Not worried about this at all…sign him.
Burrow wouldn't say anything to him to elicit that response. And if he did, you better believe he'd deserve it and he likely wouldn't say a thing.

Do you think the bengals are better off, worse off , or about average from “holes” and “questions” in the roster? When compared to the rest of the nfl?

They can blackball him for being a member of the al-Qaeda and I'd still be happy about signing him.

Either way, from watching Lucas Patrick so far tonight, I'm guessing that Risner's price has went up significantly...

God, I hope you are right.
I was sure he wouldn't be earlier when we gave him permission to seek one, but now I am not so sure.
It would be colassally stupid.
As for Risner, he certainly was not my first choice for RG. But he is legit a top 20 guard in pass pro and can play either side. Not much of a run blocker, though..

So Trey and Risner may not be directly related but...
Say they're still staunch on not giving much guaranteed money in the 3rd year (counting this as year one with a pay raise). Something like 5M in bonus (or dead money if cut) in the 3rd year vs Trey's camp wanting 15M. Maybe Cincy is now willing to offer 10M if he takes say 3.5M less in base salary this year. Maybe they're now willing to do that to sign Risner as playing hardball with a budget spent close to cap (other than rollover money) isn't worth having two gaping holes for a team notorious for bad starts.

They are not going cheap with Tre plus they paid Higgins well they could not sign big FAs plus guards were a weak top group.
