I think it depends on the offer, a 7th round pick is not enough to move the needle for me. He impressed me the other night, not 1 but 2 TD catches under duress.
On to 2025, let's save the drama for the off season.

You wouldn't trade WR6, a guy who won't even be active on game days most of the time, for a draft pick?
Tinsley is this year's winner of the training camp guy who will break the team if he doesn't make it onto the roster. He may have earned a spot, but he is still player 50-53 on the team
Heck yeah, trade him

To Luv's point, a 7th round pick is basically the equivalent of WR6 or whatever last spot at a position.
It's usually ST only or PS.
Same thing typically with 6th rounders.
If Bengals want to improve their team and can trade Tinsley, they should want to get back at least a 5th rounder.
5th has been about as good as we've seen turn into occasional decent contributors on O/D (Uzomah, Jones, Iloka, Brown to name a few).
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs
Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.

No one is giving a 5th round pick for a back of the roster player. There are far too many Mitchell Tinsleys who will be looking for a job next week. Fringe starters trade for 5th round picks this time if the year.
edit: Brian Robinson is a 3 year starter

I wasn't meaning to imply Tinsley would have warranted a 5th round pick.
I'm simply saying if the return isn't going to be a 5th rounder or higher, no trade is really worth doing.
Those 6th and 7th rounders are basically worthless aside from ST.
May as well just keep Tinsley as WR6 if he's good enough to earn that over the other WRs.

I agree, let's see if Tinsley can contribiute in 2025. WR depth is important in case one of top 3 go down to injury.

Watched some of the pre-season game between the Panthers and Steelers last night. Two ex-OSU players were looking good. Lathan Ransom at safety for the Panthers and Jack Sawyer for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Both were selected after we took Barrett Carter in the 4th. That's not a knock on Barrett who is, at this moment, and unknown commodity for us, but I do wonder if we could have found a way to trade back instead of taking Shemar in the first. Even if Shemar is very good, we had (and still have) many needs. If you are willing to lose on the pick trade value I'm sure you could find a partner. Hindsight is 20/20 and of course success isn't just picking the right guy (it is culture, scheme, chemistry, and supporting cast at the very least) but it feels like we were lazy and complacent in a situation that we could not afford to be.

7th round no. How many 7th round picks are big contributers in the NFL? My guess myabe 2% so similar to a free agent.

and how many times have you seen an extra 7th round get bundled as part of a different trade? The Bengals' season will not be made through Mitchell Tinsley

This is not. big issue to me to ague over. To me, a 6th round pick for a member of our 53 man roster would be a fair trade value. Personally, I would ike to see him stick as he has also been good on ST's which many ignore. He showed me great athletic ability, he is young and many WR's blossome in years 3 and 4th including my favorite TJ H.
I think he is better than our 3rd round pick Burton rght now. To me, once a player id drafted it no longer matters where they were drafted, it matters how they perform.
He is a low paid WR5 or WR6 who is a good special team players, to me that has tremendous value for our team.

Housh didn't just come out of nowhere. He put up more yards as a 7th round pick in his first two years (with Jon Kitna as his QB no less) than Yoshi has.
I would love for you to list me the "many" WRs who have gone from 0 receiving yards their first 2 years to an actual quality player.

I think Tinsley might be a late blooming challenger for what seemed destined to be Tahj Brook's Golden Binn Award.
