I don't know about the Hunt's but Steeler fans would definitively defend the "Roonies" (if you know, you know) for anything and everything.

It’s extremely cheap and the optics look awful. We’re talking about what, $10k in T&E charges? Don’t the bengals have Concur for this shit?

Most, if not all of these guys went on making money after playing, either in broadcasting, business or endorsements.

The mindset of some people that NFL players need to have everything provided to them from the minute they sign until they go to the grave is ridiculous. When you invite someone to something, do you pay for their lodging? This just another nothing burger to attack the Front Office.

You are honoring them. You invited them. Hospitality has no dollar considerations. Them attending is enhancing your franchise. I don’t care how much they are worth. They should be all on the same floor in the same hotel. Now you don’t have to pay for their other rooms. But 2 rooms? 2 nights? $1500-$2000? Max? You don’t think a franchise worth 5 billion shouldn’t do it?
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

Embarrassing. 5 billion dollar franchise can't buy a few hotel rooms.

Apologists will try to trot out the false equivalency of a working schlub having to pay for a hotel room. I guarantee that If I did the things for my employer that these guys did for this franchise, my employer would be be more than happy to pay for my hotel room. Even more so if they were printing money like an NFL franchise does.

Bengal Ownership is Tone Deaf to Public Relations and NFL Franchise Business Optics.

They offset any Reputation positives from a Ring of Honor event by not spending a few bucks to avoid negative News Stories like this.

Not wise enough to go that extra step.

*Their mindset seems to be:

Money stays in their Bank account, the players should just be happy they are getting Honored & Fans will forget about it after a while.

Some of these players played in an era when they didn’t make shit. And that’s besides the point anyway, the team invited them to be a part of the ceremony. Not picking up the bill is about as uncouth as it gets.

But hey, European ski trips are expensive, dammit!

Hell, even my middle to upper middle class job pays my expenses when I travel.

I do, but that's probably why I'm not a billionaire.

Only because everyone fully expects Mike Brown to do exactly this.  I get it though...NFL ownership families are pretty much the closest thing Americans get to having to deal with a royal family. A bunch of people are born into titles and roles and they don't pay for stuff. You think the king of England pays for stuff?

What is interesting is that I'm trying to think of a comparison for my life for this. Given my net worth compared to Mike Brown's I think him refusing to pay for this is akin to that time that I bought a pack of gum and didn't offer a piece to my one co worker when she saw me take the pack out of my pocket.  Well, hypocrisy thy name is Nately120.

So easy to predict which handful of posters would get all up in arms actually defending the Brownburns over this. Just once it would be so refreshing to see “you know — they could have done better on this one.” But alas.

Weezy makes you look like a blind Homer, and he said it was nothing. Did you easily predict that?

As to me I didn't opine, I just remarked on your selfie video. Personally, IDK what would be "proper".

"Boomer, we want you to come in, and we're putting you up in the Hyatt."

"I want to stay at the Hilton, bring some family, and stay for a few days."

"Well......"

If I could suggest the "perfect answer". Hey we want you to come out. Let us know if you need out PR department to help you make arrangements.
