And what the hell..one more time..

Watching game at someone's house....its 4th and 12, Im thinking its over and just as andy walks up to the line to take the snap, the owner of the house decides to change the channel.  As I scramble to get him to put it back on, 45 seconds passes by and I can feel my phone blowing up in my pocket.  Finally get him to put the game back on as the bengals are kicking the extra point.

Bengals biggest play in 2 years and I missed it.

The Ravens lost the playoffs by losing that game. The Bengals lost much more by winning it.

I know this is when we're supposed to see the last two games as a good omen for next year but I ain't falling for that one ever again.

I don't quite understand this logic.

Playoffs is game by game. Baltimore showed this a few years ago when they beat Denver (in a miracle fashion) and got into the SB. I think the Ravens lost A LOT, definitely a lot more than we did.

And if this is in regards to a draft pick, I don't really see the difference in three slots, especially in regards to the first round. The last few first round picks haven't been strong (minus William Jackson).

Baltimore gets to sit home, knowing we burned them, and an entire city has us to thank for it. Which has created a lot of positivity we normally wouldn't have (check a lot of comments throughout social media). One of the few times we haven't made the playoffs and I've actually been happy.

It's salve for the wounds of our season.

It's pretty simple really.  It brings Giggles back and gives Mike, in his convoluted logic, reason to not make much in the way of changes.    It reinforces the status quo.

Hopefully everything changes and our worries are for nothing.

You'll excuse me if I don't hold my breath waiting for that to happen.

1999. Not necessarily 'new'. Enough to know what changes and doesn't. I'm just trying to be optimistic.

That being said, if IF Marvin does in fact leave...I wouldn't be surprised if the candidate was A, someone we all don't want or B, someone in house.

Exactly !

It let's Mike stay in his little "happy place" and make little to no changes and justify it in his own mind. And he doesn't have to spend much money !

Mike's idea of change is the big jar full of pennies on his dresser.  He doesn't have nickles, dimes and quarters because he uses them to buy a carton of milk for his bag lunch.
