Yup. The officials drew the line a bit far away, in my opinion, but Jones still managed to cross it. RE: Bengals fans... - rfaulk34 - 01-11-2016 (01-11-2016, 07:40 PM)StrictlyBiz Wrote: It was six. Your facts are off. Porter was lingering around the huddle of Bengals players after Brown had walked away. I said I did not have enough evidence to conclude the refs were biased. That's a period there. I wasn't talking about that one call (even though I made my position abundantly clear on that as well), I was saying overall. I said there was no bias (not that there is a lack of evidence for me) in the call because there were multiple infractions going on, but it took Jones hitting a ref to draw the flag. A penalty so egregious it is mentioned in the rules as being necessary to report to the Commissioner. Um...... I gave an example of a player touching a ref, yet he wasn't flagged, so how's there no ambiguity? Did the ref mistake Doug Martin, who was dressed in full uniform, was a fan? Texans player touching a ref at 18 seconds, and then his teammate slaps his hand away at 21 seconds, and at 1:07 a player bumps a ref and looks like he even shoves him a bit. That was just picking the first result from a search for fights in the NFL, so I doubt it would be hard to find others. Refs were and are biased in favor of the Steelers. RE: Bengals fans... - rfaulk34 - 01-11-2016 Any steelers fans talking about Bengals coaches being on the field...pull your head out of your ass. Bengals coaches were not near Steelers players, flapping their gums, trying to get a reaction. Porter is lower than human trash. I'm glad he's a former player and current coach on your team. If anyone from the opposing sideline comes onto the field, it's going to be taken as an act of aggression. Yes, the refs should have had better control. As well, if the NFL is serious about cleaning this bullshit up, they need to be watching every play of the last 2 BvS games and hand out fines and suspensions for whomever instigates outside the lines bullshit. This kind of stuff goes on because players who won't stop when the whistle blows are allowed to go unchecked. Of course you can find instance of missed calls for every rule (Burfict taking the ball to the lockerroom after the int), but that doesn't invalidate the times when it is called. You might drive past a cop doing 70 in a 55 on Monday, but that doesn't make him wrong for ticketing you on Wednesday. Going back to his probably having permission to be out there this argument doesn't really hold a lot of water.
