RIP Burrow Era

We got 2 stop routes and Irwin doubled on maybe a corner route but he might be breaking post. What was Ja'Marr's route before Joe already has rhe ball tucked in running was it a stop route that turned into a scramble?

No. It's middle of field closed vs a deep crossing route.

Im watching the damn video right now.  The safety runs back to the middle on the snap from the opposite side and in that photo is turning back towards the direction in which he came.

The play began as a Cover 2 look.   Just because it becomes middle closed doesnt mean that Yoshi isnt crossing his face.

No way they miss this if Burrow is playing well.

Yea deep drag vs MFC. Explains why Burrow pulled it. Your right he needed to keep his eyes up and see Chase turn it up field in the scramble drill the Line of scrimmage might have something to do with it.

Edit: I'm on vacation but I need to squeeze the all-22 in. I'm not saying Burrow had a good game just need to see it.

I have all 22, and you of all people should know that what you see in a photo during the play was not how they lined up pre-snap.  Especially the Patriots defense.

This was a very odd performance by Joe.  No telling how many yards he left out there.

If Joe seen the safety rotate to MFC post-snap he would never throw the deep crosser into that first window. It's a 30 yard throw with the safety sitting on top the the route with his eyes on the QB that's asking to be picked. It was probabaly the first route he eliminated at rhe snap because it's double covered by design.

The wrist could be messed up as in he's still not accustomed to playing live games with it.  It could be messed up as in it still feels different than it did at 100 percent.  Neither are ideal but both somewhat understandable.

It could also be messed up as in there's actual lingering or new structural damage.  If this is the case, then you might as well close the door on this organization.  Not era.  Organization.  It would prove true every single accusation of mismanagement of highly drafted quarterbacks.

They ran him out there (undoubtedly after ample prodding from Burrow himself) with a bad calf that greatly impacted his mobility last year.  It inhibited his escapability.  It was a huge risk.  Didn't go well in the end.

I know they want money and butts in seats. I know that Burrow wants to resume building a legacy.  That will never happen, ever, if he and they continue to refuse to acknowledge realities when he's physically compromised.

After watching film breakdowns, you almost have to think that Jake Browning, even as a mediocre starting qb, could have helped them win that game.  It's exactly the game he's here to help them win.  Burrow with no downfield playbook is not much better than Jake.  Burrow with now downfield playbook also leads to Burrow on the sideline in street clothes before Thanksgiving.

I meant, from the standpoint, of the nit being fully recovered from it. I do believe Browning could have won the game. They did not want to go downfield. I think that’s because of the injury, or like you said, another from rushing back from this one.
