The 1st down throw to the line of scrimmage after the possible fumble which is understandable but then we double down and do it again with time expiring in the 1st half. What's the point to try and catch them off guard? Did Washington's defense look like it needed to be caught off guard? Then some odd runs in the redzone where it just felt very predictable. I want to run more and last night we ran well but when you have to have a touchdown against they're secondary giving Burrow as many opportunities to find a guy seems like a win to me.
LOL, the offense again? Seriously? Scored on every drive but one and that was a missed short FG?
We are not playing against our defense. Expecting a TD on every single drive is beyond nonsensical.
I seriously do not get the offensive bashers. after this game. The defense could not have played worse. But the offense..... just comical.

Yes the defense was terrible not excusing that was the reason that we lost. But Washingtons defense is probably worse than ours and we gave them moments. I'm just saying Washington looked like a team that was hard to get off the field coming into this game and having to outscore them was a potential outcome as both defenses could struggle. Offense was very efficient but problem is the FGs and missed kick were a result of bad playcalling in my opinion that's all I'm saying.

the offense deserves 0% of the blame. This was a historically bad defensive performance from cincy.

Mahomes
Allen
Hurts
Prescott
Love
Daniels
Stanford
Purdy
Lamar
Goff
Darnold….
This is why people are saying you blamed Burrow for this loss. Because, in a game where Burrow was nearly perfect, you are talking about him no longer being a top 10 QB in the NFL (which is ridiculous), listing guys like Goff, Love, Stanford and Prescott above him.
If you want to say you were just emotionally charged last night and not thinking straight, that's one thing. But you seem to be doubling down on this absurd notion that Burrow's performance last night was an indication that he fell out of the top 10 QBs in the NFL.
Hence the other members criticizing you.
All this was to the point of another Star QB being born in front of our very eyes. Highlighting that Burrow isn't the apple of the NFL eye anymore. Nothing to do with Burrow or his play. More to do with the influx of star QB's. 2 of which we crowned.
But look no further to the news this morning. A(nother) NFL Star was born last night. Washington isn't trading him for Burrow. And that's my point. Anyone would take a top 5 QB. Can you mention 10 teams that would keep there's over Burrow.....I can. You need more than a star QB in this league. There are too many of them.
I didn't even mention Rodgers. It's a lot of QB's and folks are stuck in the past stil arguing Burrow is top 5 or yes even 10. And if there is a close comparison then wins do break the tie.
Context matters and if you read the thread (which you did) then you saw me continue to praise the offense and Burrow while blaming the defense for the loss. Why didn't you add that to your post? Everything you posted was in regards to Daniels arrival. If you followed the thread it'd be apparent as it was to most.

the bengals offense put up a performance where the teams were like 85-0. If you score 4 touchdowns, with no turnovers and no punts, you have a 100% winning percentage.
the defense was so bad that the bengals are now the only team to lose after an offensive performance like that

25-0, not 85-0 but point well taken.

I don't think i've seen anything that bad since the Bengals got screwed by the Saints. Terrell Austin got canned the following day.

1) sure wish that our offense would go with our strengths..all the time..every play ram it down their thoats....Burrow..Higgins Chase..but.. Sure wish wewould have kept Mixon
2)I cannot even begin to understand why this defense played so poorly..espcially against a team with a rookie quarterback and all those young players
3) I dont even know what to type..it was so bad

There was a bunch of practice squad guys on the D-line. On top of the fact that Hubbard and Ossai are just terrible

I dunno I dunno. Saying the problem is contained to the defense is to forget week 1. I mean yeah, the defense is the biggest problem of this moment and we can't stop the run at all. At all. And this leads to guys with no one near them catching passed (reminded me of our Houston game last year). So yeah the defense. But also...this offense does not feel threatening. It does not feel exciting. The team draws on the success of each other and the offense feels like it is hanging by a thread. A thread reconstructed with a whole new surgery in the off season.

The only teams that wouldn't trade their QB for Burrow are:
Baltimore
Houston
Kansas City
Buffalo
And Maybe Washington if you think Daniels will do what he did last night for the rest of his career.
San Francisco is going to have to pay Purdy more than Burrow next offseason and he is not as good as Burrow.
Goff, Darnold, Hurts, Prescott, Rodgers, Tua, Stafford, Love and Lawrence are all below Burrow by a fair margin for a variety of reasons. All those teams would quickly do a 1 for 1 trade for Joe.

I think they can deserve some of the blame. I'm not saying 50% but could we put 5% to 10% on them? When you rush a pass play at the line of scrimmage as time is expiring in the 1st qtr that almost gets picked when Washington appears to not be able to stop anything down field I think they can take some blame.

They deserve none of the blame. Teams were undefeated when putting up the kind of offensive performance that the bengals did last night. That is 100% an indictment on the defense
Once again, it was a historically bad performance from the defense.

Chargers are not trading Herbert for Burrow.

He's had a very good start to his NFL Career, but 'a star being born'?
He's played 3 games, and the teams he's faced are a combined 3-6.
He played very well last night, exceptionally so... but I'll stick with a QB who is 5-2 in the playoffs.

People always forget that Burrow can win in the playoffs. Lamar? The definition of big game choker come post season
I’ve never seen a bigger drop off for a qb when the playoffs hit. Lamar is like Dalton on steroids

Dolphins and Jags sure. But why would the rest mess up the good things they got going. Those teams are doing just fine (better than us). I'll even give you San Fran. But they can win with any QB. They don't need a star. Cowboys problem isn't at QB. The wins and numbers are there for Prescott. A Prescott / Burrow switch wouldn't move the needle at all.

Mike likely says the same about the coaching staff and many don't find that comforting this morning.
