There's nothing very credible to back that up. It's early in the season so his volume is low meaning a missed kick does a lot of damage. However, taking what he has right now...

1. His XP% hasn't declined. His worst season there was in 2022.
2. His short field goals haven't declined. His worst season there was also 2022.
3. His 40-49 yard field goals technically are lower but he only has three attempts. If he makes one this week it then changes to the second best of his career.
4. His long field goals haven't declined. His worst season there was 2023.
   

What is possible is that Evan overperformed in 2021 and has been regressing to the mean since then. It is possible that he isn't all that good. I'm not saying I believe that, but it is possible. His FG% has declined every single season since.

It would be nice for him to have the same snapper, holder combo for back to back seasons so we can see who really is to blame. He never has unlike our last kickers who had the same combo for 10 years.

Unfortunately, we just paid him so that’s not happening. You could potentially do it after the season but even that cap hit is basically flat to the salary so your paying him not to play for you for the same price.
