Good to see Jackson show something this game.

Cappa's 21.2 Pass Blk doesn't surprise me. I saw him get ragdolled and just plain stink on many pass plays. We need two (real) guards so very badly.

Seems benching a player may be a good thing. CTB and Volson both have responded well.

Also, is it just a coincidence that Stone has turned it on once we moved on from Bell?

Cappa is at the top of my list for guys we could cut to save $$$.

Stone is out of the top 5, though he still cannot tackle.

Rankins, Pratt, Hubbard, and Moss are the new top 5.

Cutting and replacing Cappa has to be priority #1 for the offense this offseason (other than re-signing Chase). I believe it will only cost them a little over $2 million in dead cap, but it absolutely must happen. He’s just never been the same since that injury at the end of the 22 season.

For sure

IMHO, and I'm not quite sure what order but top 4 priorities are: DT, DE, RG, and LG + better backups. We have to get much better in the trenches if we really plan on getting to the big show.

How about 2 great games in a row? He was our highest rated player in the Dallas game as well.

The inability to convert on short yardage has accounted for at least a couple of losses this season. I know that there's more than personnel that goes into that, but having the horses to make running the ball a viable option on less than 2 yards to go is a great place to start.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Actually Stone turned it on when Lou FINALLY changed the defense a bit and is using Stone differently - letting him attack instead of making him sit back and read endlessly. Stone suddenly playing a ton better is an indictment on Lou - it should not have taken twelve games for him to realize his players were having big issues executing his usual system.

Hmmmm...you might be onto something there? But I'm not willing to anoint Stone as fixed just yet.

He has looked dominant on reps at times this season. Raw ability is there, needs to continue working.

Stone pretty much said as much after the Titans game. I believe he specifically cited the game plan finally being simplified or something to that effect.

Stone made a comment that they simplified the defense a bit recently and it suits him better. Not sure why it took until week 13.

Not encouraging for Lou and his scheme. Seems to be way over our players heads sometimes.

Let’s see if Stone can do it against quarterbacks who aren’t complete dog crap before we anoint him, ok?

Guys having their best games after a season is completely lost is actually a silver lining.

Believe me I was as disappointed as anyone in Stone's play, but I'm not going to write him off yet. Maybe takes a minute to get used to a new team, scheme, DC.

WTS, I hope he has to learn from a new DC next year. I'm ready to throw out the bath water instead of the baby
