Wasn't Golden let go by the Bengals, or did his contract expire?
I thought it was the former. If it was, I would think he wouldn't want to consider the Bengals. I know I'd hold animosity toward a former employer if they showed me the door then wanted me back years later.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward. Sorry for Party Rocking!

But I think he must be very happy with his gig. just the right hours, fewer headaches, get to get paid for voicing your opinion and having a great team to work with. Honestly he's the guy I'd want for a head coaching job. Dude is just so smart.

Yup, get that Amazon money and that commercial money. Work about 1/10th the hours of a coach and spend the rest of the time with your family. ____________________________________________________________

Sure hope so, I don't like the resume' of the 2 dudes they already interviewed. They are Belichick disciples and that is all they got going for them IMO. Christian Parker of the Eagles for DC would be an up and coming guy that I would like.

Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

I never thought Lou was entirely to blame because we just dont have the talent some other teams have on defense. I hope Bengals management doesnt think all they need to do is hire a new DC and everything is going to be great They had one of the best players in the league on defense but the cheap skates didn't want to pay him..Jesse Bates.. The Bengals FO in a nutshell..

In Cincinnati just like Atlanta, he was regarded as one of the best safeties in the NFL.

Jessie Bates either played great or played poorly, and there wasn't much in-between. Playoff Jesse was great, head in a funk Jesse not so much. Remember when he lead the team in missed tackles???? https://thebengalsboard.com/post-886876.html

Jessie Bates is the best post safety in the NFL. He was also second on the team in tackles the years he lead in missed tackles with Shawn Williams because the DL and LB play was horrendous. Jessie Bates leaving is the #1 reason the secondary fell apart in their heavy cover 1/3 defense.
