Just saying based on board experts trashing Duke and scouting department.

I would love it if we got 2 picks if we lose him.

Also, do we get picks if we hire a minority like Saleh in 2025 for our DC?

Uh ..... because they're the Jets? I mean, just look at the recent drafts.....you or I could've drafted Burrow and Chase.

He's already setting up not playing next year due to a "setback" in his rehab.

Is this even legal? Seems like a conflict of interest.

Not sure, still trying the woke currency system the league has with comp picks.  If they hire him do the Jets get picks too?

Seriously why though? Minority hire?

No. Compensatory picks. The team losing the player/coach get picks to compensate them. The hiring team gets nothing, other than the player they sign or coach they hire.

Going on 5 years now, owners passed it to incentivized/reward teams for nurturing minority talents to eventually become HCs and GMs.

Nah, I think becoming a GM is like becoming a HC in that just being able to put that you were one (even for just a year) on your resume is a massive foot in the door towards trying to get it again in the future. Also seems to be MUCH easier to get a one-tier-lower job whenever you want one in the future.

There's coordinators who you see struggle to get a HC job for a decade of interviewing, and then you'll see a failed HC get fired and then recycled by another team to be their HC just like two years later.

There's only 32 job openings for GM and the ones with good organizations generally aren't opening up very often. (Though I suppose college teams are starting to get GMs now with NIL and the transfer portal.)

Yep. The gal from yesterday had it right. Sucks for us from a comp pick situation, but at least the FO team remains intact for FA/Draft. I'd have preferred the picks.
