Las Vegas Raiders are signing Pro Bowl DE Maxx Crosby to a three-year, $106.5 million extension that includes $91.5 guaranteed, making him the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history, per sources.

No way Bengals afford that....

I just believe this is a lie

Chases deal is likely nearing completion

They already admitted they are going to make him the highest paid non QB ever

They know what that dollar amount is

Yeah, maybe not so wise to promise that you will make Chase the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history. Now have to beat Maxx Crosby -- or whatever else comes down the pike.

Chase was going to beat this contract regardless. 35.5M AAV will be the highest paid non-QB in NFL history for a few months tops.

I see. I was reading Crosby's deal as 38.1 million/year with 91 guaranteed, and think the Bengals would balk at either of those numbers (38 million per year or 91M guaranteed). We will see.

I don’t know why.

his guaranteed money. With Trey if we cannot get a deal done I could see him being traded as he has a lot of value currently and this is a
very deep draft for DL and with some more picks we would have a much better shot at hitting on someone. Too bad, as I want Trey here
but this DOES make sense.

Tee we will see on, just glad we tagged the guy so we can get something for him if he does leave or we can work out an incentive laden
extension where he gets paid like the best #2 in the NFL if he stays healthy. So much more money for so many more games played etc.

Or trade Tee, either way Mike G needs to be brought back IMO.

BINGO!!

They've painted themselves into a giant corner stringing out all three of them. It'll cost them several million more to retain all three - stupid move Bengals F.O.

Yep, most of us called it before last season. Ja'Marr was going to break out and be the best WR, we saw it coming.

The Bengals FO evidently did not. Should of just gave him his guaranteed money and it would be a great deal from here on out.

Not going to happen now and then they said he was going to be the highest paid non QB on top of it.

Here comes a 4 year, 160 million dollar deal and Ja'Marr deserves it honestly. Dude is just sniffing what he can do, he really grew as a
route runner last year and got much smarter at knowing how to get open. Special player.

This is going to be interesting whether we like it or not. Expecting a Trey trade after the Mad Maxx contract and this will leave a big hole
to fill if this happens.

What was probably $30,000,000/year for Hendrickson is now closer to $35,000,000.

Chase will get a 4 year, 160,000,000 with $115,000,000-$120,000,000 in guarantees.

Insiders say Ja’Marr has been offered $37 mil per(highest receiver deal). Tee upper 20’s and teams like Pats have pulled their interest(Tee injury prone) and Trey likely offered $30-32mil per and is passing. There has to be a little give and take

"If they want to keep all three players, they gotta get to $40 million per year for Ja'Marr, $30 million per year for Tee and about $32-33 million for Trey," Meirov said on the Drop the Mic podcast. "They're nowhere close on all three right now."

Meirov said that the Bengals are in the $36-37 million range for Chase. Meanwhile, the Bengals tagged Higgins for $26.179 million.
Those are the two contracts that need to come together in the near future. If the Bengals can lower Higgins cap number ($26.179 million) before free agency next week, it would be ideal. The same goes for Chase, who's set to make $21.8 million this season. Finding a way to get those contracts in place before free agency would give the Bengals more cap space to work with to sign outside talent.

If you’re that close, just get it done, before free agency. Don’t pick pepper out of fly shi*.

Draft better.

If you look at the Bengals 2026 cap number, its actually insane.

Based on projections, they are going to have around 220 million in cap space as it currently stands.

The only guys they are currently paying over 10 million a year are Burrow and Orlando Brown. Logan Wilson is the ONLY other positional player that is on his second contract.

They are literally paying no one and have no one else worth paying on the team other than Chase, Higgins, Hendrickson, and whatever other free agents they want to sign this year.

Lets say you sign Higgins, Chase, and Trey for around 100 million total...you STILL have around 100 million in cap room for 2026 and beyond. WILD.

Thanks for the insight Bengalbug. That seems way high to me for Tee and his injury history. 30 mil per year? Geez, I thought 28 mil was too high.

The Ja'Marr and Trey numbers sound about right and we should at the very least just pay Ja'Marr his 40 mil per year.

Trey could fall off for all we know and has a lot of value just leading the NFL in Sacks last season. I am for a Trey trade if he doesn't like 34 mil per
year. We could get Josh Sweat for much cheaper who isn't that much of a fall off as a pass rusher and is a better run stopper than Trey pretty sure.

Lots of good Ends to be had early in this Draft.

Well they need to get their shit together in FA is they are trading Trey. Right now it’s him and 10 Tecmo Bowl players.

I just heard on NFL radio that Maxx Crosby was signed to a 3 year extension for $106M. The Edge market has been reset.

It took that to resign him and he had a triple crown year.  So the fact that they had to tell us that sounds more like telling the fans they tried when in reality its closer to 40M maybe.  I can't fault them for not wanting to give Trey a ton of guaranteed money in his twilight but he IS your defense.

So, I'd Burrow is indeed restructuring you have to take him up on what he wants done with the money.  He is bigger than the Bengals and you have to keep him happy.  If that means paying more than what you want to on Tee or Chase so be it, ger over yourself.  Then, if you're making trades and signings to build a defense, I'm not against trading Hendrickson if they're that far apart.  That would include though trading a 2nd or 3rd this year though to get a star to replace him. We can't go into the season worried about him retiring or sitting.

"Carson Burrow " coming this season
