Happy Tampering Day
At what point is it not reactionary to acknowledge this is not going well?
If you see something suspicious, say something suspicious.

When we don't get a Guard at all, that is when.

If we don't get a Guard I will be right with yah. It isn't over yet.

$9MM for a high-caliber Guard is cheap. If we are looking for starters at $4-$5MM a year then we are screwed.

Give me Teven Jenkins for 12-15 mil per year and Scherff for 7 mil per year and I am happy.

I'm on the ledge and I can't even deny it. I really want to guards now that pass rush has all but dried up. I think that price was extremely reasonable to sign him and get another guy in here. We desperately need pass rush and playmakers on defense. If we sign a guard that doesn't reduce the big need in the draft and it just seems that it will be too much to fill in the draft.

I mean, we got a guard.  When we are just wanting a player at a position, it's a good sign that things aren't going great.

Sign these two guys and I will be happy. I'm just not overly optimistic at the moment.

I'm right there with you. 9mil for his level of play is a steal. As quiet as it's been I was just waiting for one of these deals to come thru and see how badly we messing up.

2 Guards is what I want as well. Cannot have Volson and Ford starting. Zeit was paid 6 mil by the Lions last year and he is one year older.

Don't know why his price went up...

Oh yeah, desperation. There are still younger Guards that are better out there and we have been talking to one in Teven Jenkins and cuts
will happen and we can add another Guard after or even sooner. Too early to be on any ledge IMO.

Who? Cody Ford? He is a good backup but he is no starter. We can say things aren't going great if we don't get a starting Guard or more
ideally 2 starting Guards. There is time and Guards out there to be had.

Cool. We will see.

SIGN CJ MOSLEY NOW. PLEASE He’d immediately be a top 5 player on this team and he won’t cost a lot.

I think that Mosely is washed. Too many nagging injuries from over the years caught up with him.  On another note, are we really at the point where we're just begging the team to make a move, any move, weather it's a smart move or not? I mean spending money just for the sake of it isn't generally thought of as wise.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Completely agree. Just make the right move is all I am asking. Mosely is not the right move IMO.

Teven Jenkins should be.

I think he was the highest graded RG remaining atleast that has maintained the level of play for as long as he has. I'm sure his # went up because the market and cap increased. Bottom line after seeing his # I would much rather having signed him for that # than have no one and see him on another team. What happens if we wait all this time talking to Tevin and he signs somewhere else?

I can't agree more. I've been low key hoping that he would be our "big" outside add this season. Let's hope that Katie and her squad is ready to play hardball for the guy we need. Then, if there is budget for Brandon Scherff, he would also be a great short term add.

I thought the Bengals would be all over a much better guard or 2 in free agency. I wanted Zeitler as a stop gap (then draft his replacement in round 1) for RG. Then sign Jenkins or Becton for LG.

Becton played LG, but Sherff is a RG.

I get the anxiety as each hour passes, it seems FO is in slow motion.

The BS we need to know what we are doing with Chase and Tee is just that, BS. They have the money to fill a huge need. I have no idea why they are being passive to get it done. Get guys to protect the franchise already.

Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!

Zeit also played next to the best Center in football in Frank Ragnow IMO. I was not against signing Zeit, I just remember his wife didn't like
Cincy and our team doesn't sign older FA's often so I thought he was unlikely so I am not sore about it at all. Would much rather have Teven
Jenkins and a cheaper Scherff.

We will see how it plays out. If Teven signs somewhere else, I will be a bit more negative once it truly is time. But it isn't over yet.

Yes sir Sunset. Teven and Brandon would instantly make our OL so much better and we would have good depth for once in Cody Ford.

He is definitely not in his prime but I promise you guys, he’d be the 2nd beat player on this defense if Hendrickson gets traded.
But you guys are the same ones who thought Geno Stone and Sheldon Rankins were great signings.

I doubt they have the cap space for that.

They're kind of bad injuries too.
