Who does Detroit have for Guards. I might go a second round pick as long as they threw in one of their starting OGs.

Their (stud, HOF trajectory) center just retired. They are not going to reduce that line anymore than it already is.

Yep, their plan is to move Rutledge to center. But the Detroit FO is just awesome. Imagine that, banking on a rookie 2nd round pick starting immediately.

Again, as i was reading, i was thinking 'fantastic post with tons of factual in-depth info' and i knew it was all for naught...

I responded to your response so not sure what the issue is. Based on your response, it did appear you think you are wiswr than the FO. Maybe you are, maybe you are not but look closely at your response and easy for one to analyze and see why you feel the way you feel.
It really was not a dig, it was just my interpretation.

Because he gave you a great, fact filled answer and you just ignored it and came back with a bad take. And it was CLEARLY a bad take if you disagree with what he posted. Oh, maybe it was your opinion. More on that later...
Look, i'm sure you're a great guy in real life. You built a business and made a great life for yourself. You set up your family for the future. You should be commended for that. I wish i could have done more through the years. You've got me beat there by a mile.
But when it comes to football takes, the only thing i can say is that yours are not very good at all. You back this front office endlessly, despite the way they've cheaped their way through the years and done juuuuuust enough to give fans a competetive team from time to time. They get a franchise QB and shortchange the offensive line. They pinch and scrooge their way through contract negotiations and end up paying more because of it. They keep trying to reinvent the wheel and do things 'their way' and come up short time after time. There are any number of things they could have done different in FA and the draft that would have this team set up better than they are now. You downplay other teams that build teams better and ask questions just so you can ignore them and give the answer you were going to the whole time.
You go ahead and keep doing you. I'm just going to start ignoring it because there's no logic or common sense to your support of this front office and your thoughts on the team. You and a couple others just shit in the face of common sense, facts, logic and reason and keep regurgitating the same debunked points time after time, page after page.
It has nothing to do with simple disagreements. It's your right to post what you want. It has everything to do with constant misinformation, ignoring of facts and the contstant spamming support of a front office that doesn't deserve it. Some positive moves, yeah. A shit ton of mismanagement and mom and pop mentality in a corporate world? You're damn right. I support the players on the team, i'm there every week tuned in cheering for a win, buy the merch, go to games, read all the articles but i'll be damned if i'm gonna support the front office of this team until they make some major changes in their M.O.
INb4 you start screaming about CoC and personal attacks on your opinions. There's a cute little simile about opinions but i'll skip that and simply say, all opinions are NOT created equal. This world would be a lot nicer if people hadn't forgotten that fact.

It is bad business and policy to spend money for the sake of spending money. But more so as I pointed out, they still with 6 weeks from TC have a ton of money left to extend Trey and sign the 2 draft picks and complete the roster.

The issue is that you blandly dismissed every word he said, and stuck with your tunnel vision view of the somehow infallible FO doing what is absolutely right. Re-read the post that you responded to and consider what he was pointing out. Other teams are able to pack a lot more talent on their rosters, while being constrained by the very same salary cap as the Bengals.
Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations
