I was not a fan of the pick myself so I could believe it.

Also, I am not sure Trey is the top 3 DE/EDge/outside LB's in the NFL. He is an awesome pass rusher, but against 40 to 45% of the defensive snaps being runs, he is rated good at best ad not close to elite.

Is he better than all these guys?

Garrett
Watt
Parsons
Will Anderson Jr.
Leonard Williams

He definitely is against the pass, but how well do his do against the strong runing games like the Ravens he plays 2x a year. Is he a strength or a liability against Henry and Jackson?

I am not dishing Trey, he is a great player and outplayed his current deal, but he is not a complete DE in my opinion. He will get paid for his pass rush ability in spite of his liabilities defending the run.

Trey Hendrickson is better than Will Anderson Jr.,  Leonard Williams and yes even Micah Parsons.

Micah Parsons run defense makes Treys look like Sam Hubbards. Trey is also just ad good as a pass rusher if not better. Parson is just more athleticlly gifted but Trey is better. Williams and Anderson are better run defenders than Trey but not even in his realm as a pass rusher.

Was it proper etiquette when he asked for his extension last year, or the year before that? It's a yearly deal for Trey....

That'd sorta be on the front office though too... I really don't know who's right in this situation, but I know it's becoming a yearly thing here.

Really makes you wonder if Trey is indeed telling the truth. He's been wanting a contract extension/restructure for a few years. Was the 1 year given to him really as a we will revisit this soon if you take care of your part. It all seems to point to this.
