Come on, we have experts in the forum, they are smarter than NFL scouts and always know who will bust and who will be great.

Suuuuure. You've never made one post having an opinion about any player or individual connected to the Bengals.

I am aware a lot of people feel they are experts on a message board. No, I have never claimed to be an expert on NFL talent on a message board. Like I said, you need to take a breath and stop attacking those who support the FO. I also criticize them, but you are so zoned in on attempting to label me, you ignore those posts.
Have a great day and let's hope we have a great 2025 season and we have players and coaches rise up to greatness.

Yep, I do not KNOW they will make a jump, I expect them to. Point being, when I post a prediction, it's a prediction. I don't act like I'm some seer into the future that KNOWS how things will go.

More of the signing bonus was what they were asking for the whole time and assuming with such a minimal amount pushed forward that Stewarts camp decided to just get in camp and move on. I dont think them coming around makes them the ones at fault as both sides were fighting equally. Its over now and we can put it behind us for now.

Just as food for thought because I think the media was really just hyper focused on the language. The default language was the original problem not so much the language itself because it is more common around the league but because they wanted a concession to accept the language. I saw a quote from Hiller the other day that said " in contracts you don't just break precedent you have to negotiate ". So they were hung up on the concession as part of the negotiation which i heard multiple times was or could be the payout timing of the signing bonus. We gave Mims a 50 at signing 50 in December payout. Now Stewart signed with an extra 500k at signing which tells me two things. 1 that Stewart's camp was finally said screw it let's just get in camp because I dont think the Bengals were fighting over 500k. 2 that the Bengals were unwilling to budge at all because again its only 500k even a budge to a 60/40 payout would of made it a million dollar shift to signing.
Take that for what its worth but is worth noting that language was originally in Mims contract. He was late to sign and when he did it was removed from the contract so clearly his agent didn't like it either.

Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

Might I remind everyone we drafted a DT, who's college production put him in the 4th round of the draft, who will soon be going into the HOF as a First Ballot (or should be, but may not because he's a Bengal)
Yes. I've "formed" my opinion that i think he's leaning towards being a bust. That opinion isn't set in stone and it can be changed as results dictate.
Geno's not going in first ballot and it's not because he played for the Bengals. Last time i checked i think he was close to top 20 in the Hall of Fame monitor and one good thing he has working for him, there's not many guys ahead of him that are really deserving and ready to go in now. Hmm, with that being said, i guess you could make a case that he could go in next year.

Here's some of that hyperbole that i'm always talking about around here.

I respect you are going on record before playing one game you are leaning Stewart is a bust. In time, we will see.
For the record, for me for a 1st round pick is he will be gone from the NFL after his rookie contract expires. A bust in the NFL is not someone who starts or plays a lot. Of course, once drafted I consider them all equal and fighting for a job whether round 1 or round 7.

His opinion is based on reality. None of us can accurately predict every NFL player's future results. How is thay hyperbole? Hell, the experts and those drafting can't predict accurately or we would never miss on any pick, no team would.

Fair enough, and I echo the sentiment. I recognize I also don't know anything about judging NFL talent.

I don't feel like i'm an expert either. Hopefully, i'm not erroneously on your list.

Yep. The only thing i can do is watch what he's done to this point and try to make an informed opinion, just like all of us. It will be right, wrong or somewhere in the middle. I'm just not going to sit here and say no one knows until Oct/next year/3 years. What's the point in a message board if everyone does that? Are we just going to sit here and talk about players from past years?
Some opionions come across stronger than others and some people (generally) perceive that as being a "know it all". And the fun part is, sometimes that's true and sometimes it's not. It's all just part of random interactions on the never boring internutz.
