If I remember correctly Callahan comes from an offensive coaching tree. In most cases an offensive minded coach wouldn't be willing to part with a premium offensive talent.
Callahan has Bengals connections, obviously. He probably was a straight shooter with our FO. Maybe not so much with KC's. Let's wait and see how it shakes it.
I don't think anyone was suggesting the Bengals should have tried to work out a trade for Hopkins.
