Some encouraging signs so far, and bad

The bad.  The Reds were picked off 3 times.  And had 1 caught stealing.  To be fair, one Brewer pitcher had a borderline balk move.

In early spring, Francona mentioned that his managerial preference was to leave a player alone after a 1st mistake.  But confront him, unlike Bell did, if a second one occurs.  

We'll have to see if Francona can really fix the bad here.

I sure hope so and there's a lot of fixin to do. Like you say way to many boneheaded base running mistakes last year.

They've got to quit swinging at pitches that bounce two feet in front of the plate or are two feet outside. Teach them how to lay down a friggin bunt and quit swinging out of their shoes on every pitch.
