They even admitted it was a group effort in the presser with a lot of stuff happening publicly and privately with Burrow... You know who's name didn't come up in all the thank you's...... Tobin.
In other threads yall highlight how things have changed with the FO with Burrow. Why the sudden bout face?
But yea, this FO would have always dished out this type of record breaking money for two players at the same position.....
If you want to say Joe had a big influence nobody is disagreeing there. But to characterize it as high pressure it wasn’t. Would Tee be here if both Joe and Chase had been indifferent of course not. Having that amount of money tied up in two receivers is unprecedented. I’m sure at some franchises ownership would have said go kick rocks. But they had to work through it. But things really changed when Tee switched agents to Rocky Arceneaux. But the Browns weren’t dragged kicking and screaming. Their head coach wanted it. Nobody thinks that had any impact. But when your GM & Head Coach are closely aligned and your 2 star players …. That’s what made it impossible to disregard.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.
