I liked the pick and feel he is as good or better than Ratledge who was drafted earlier. I have high hopes for him, but unlike most, I think Volson surprises us in 2025 as he takes a huge leap from bad/average NFL starter to a solid starter.

I think our OL will be one of the most improved areas in 2025.

I start my analysis of our team with the prior year record, last year we were 9-8. Then what were thr major weaknesses? OG on offense by far was an issue. We had 1 vet starter who killed our OL perfromnce Cappa and he was cut. He was flat out horrid so can a rookie or vet step in and be better. I say yes, the question becomes how much better.

On defense we had a ton of weakness. The weakest is debatable, but DB's including the saftey position is my pick. Some injury and some performance. We have tons of questions still with our young CB's Hill, Turner and Britt. I a no fan of Stone nor Battle. Battle is OK, but don't think he will ever be a star safety. Can this group be better? Then there is DT where we lost Hill, Rankins and had 2 rookies. I think Slayton shocks some people and the rookies both get better helping our interior run and pass defensive line.

We will see, but I think our roster is better than some give it credit, but back to Fairchild, we need to hit big on a guard, I hope he is the one.
