How much of that does JB bring on himself? He's on record as stating he loves an empty set (no one helping the online block) and he's also stated not all sacks are back.
What he does is awesome, but he does nothing to avoid pressure, the does do a lot to avoid getting sacked relative to pressure such as moving in the pocket, circus throws, and the occasional scramble
This is a good question. Joe loves the pressure it seems, if he had a RB or H-back in the backfield with him more I think he would get
hit and pressured a lot less. I know our Guard play has been terrible, but always being in the Shotgun in empty sets sure puts a ton of
pressure on the OL as well as Joe.
Edit: Also, I might add that it sure helps that Joe doesn't fain from pressure and is the best QB in the NFL. Just saying these empty sets
and Shotgun make any OL worse than they would normally be.
Even the Eagles or Lions OL would be worse with Joe and his beloved empty sets and Shotgun sets all the time.
