My thoughts are he was signed on July 17 so to say no drama is not the entire truth. They also just signed their starting QB recently which was also drama.
Let's see if the Bengals sign Trey in the coming weeks or not. The drama created is by fans. The Bengals FO looks at it as a business decision. I am not sure how many 100 million contracts you have given out, but it is a ton of money. They have a value assigned to him, my guess is they will stay within 15% of the value. If Trey wants more, he may be sitting out 2025 which many would not blame him. However, if Trey puts his business hate on, losing 16 million + millions in fines may not be a smart business decision for him long term because Bengals own his rights for nect 3 years if they so desire.
I want him signed, but the door swings both ways, he is under contract in 2025 and took a nice signing bonus in 2022 to extend his deal. I think he deserves an extension, but it is not my money.
As for Watt, time will tell if father time or injury catched up to him the next 4 years and especially the next 3 years. Will he play at a level to earn that money is yet TBD, he may or he may blow out his knee week 1 and the contract be a D. Watson deal in the end. One thing I do see, he has a lot of tread on the tires. His brother was great also until he wasn't his last couple of years.

JJ was 33 when he retired and look it up, he went from great to average very quickly.
So jury still out on if Steeler's signing TJ to a 3 year extension was a great, good or bad move.
Let's revist at end of 2026 season for a true evaluation of his price and production.
It was a bad business decision again then. Waiting for others to sign just makes the price go up.
It's not my money, but I would of tried and signed all these guys before others set the market.
Now Trey will be nearly impossible to sign after the Twatt extension.
Just dumb, sorry. I am as positive of a poster as there is, but it is what it is.
