Murray update
We aren't drafting this guy so not sure why we even have a thread on him. Even if available at 11 he won't be our pick.

Haskins will have a better and longer pro career.

Tyrod Taylor as a stopgap starter
Jarvis Landry was a huge get
Carlos Hyde as the primary RB
Damarious Randall as a starting DB
TJ Carrie
Chris Hubbard

They also had a really good draft with a lot of early-round picks, and they hit on most of them.

The point I'm trying to make is that you're basing the Cardinals on what they are before FA and the draft happen, which you could easily say the Browns were in an even worse position at this point last year.

The biggest thing they already had was a line in front of the QB, which is a thing the Cardinals absolutely do not have.  They also had a talented young TE.  And a lot of the Browns losing was directly due to Hue's suckitude and the OC and DC doing everything possible to undermine him.  And don't forget the kicking problems, which directly caused a couple losses.

Kingsbury could not even win at TT.  Good luck with that roster in that division.

It's a good thing Murray has fast feet cuz he's gonna need them just to stay alive.

Yea, AZ has a bad OL. It's actually good that Murray has mobility because if he didn't, he'd fail miserably.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

I am personally SICK of hearing about this dude,I believe he will get hurt his first season in NFL, and no no no I do not want him drafted by us.End of story. The nfl draft gurus get on something and they simply wear it out and after hearing about this dude constantly,I am sick of all of it and who cares about him anyway, lets talk about players that can help us.I would never take him,I am telling you he is going to be a BUST. ThumbsUp Devin White is someone I would discuss and all the OL and DL guys that can help us win.Andy Dalton is our starting QB until 2020 at least, then we can get someone and the backup this past season is good enough,if he had a OL he would have been much better.

I sure hope he goes number 1 overall or before the Bengal's pick because the more QB early than the greater chance the Bengals will land White, Taylor, or someone useful!

But if Murray is there at 11, there is a chance the Bengals either take him or trade back for a Kings ransom of future draft picks.

Yep. Teams know they can use media members to spread whatever information whether it's true or not. There will be five million stories between now and then and who knows what is true. I try not to read into any of it.

Yes. Which deception is true we’ll never know.

Pro Day at 10 EST today. Should be running, interested if he sees anything in the 4.3 range.

We are at the OU pro day (Zach Taylor to be exact). Could be to watch Murray could be for Ford or others.

Sort of off-topic, but is it too soon to start a thread for scheduled player workouts? I'd be interested to see if we invite Murray here.

Scheduled visits are often a red herring. I was reading something the other day that says a lot of teams use them more for mid round guys, UDFA, and some guys they don't actually plan to take but want to scout a little more. The idea is because they are basically public knowledge they don't want to tip there hand, especially in recent years.

Ben Powers and Dru Samia. Powers actually sounded exactly like the linemen Turner talked about in his interview.

Was home sick for what seems like the umpteenth day.  Watched him throw.  Murray threw well.  Has easy arm strength.  His receivers caught the hell outa the ball, even throws that weren't exactly on the money.  Couple TE size guys impressed.

Zac was visible behind him the whole time.

I'm hoping Taylor was there to get a first-person look at Cody Ford rather than Kyler Murray.

Off topic but I heard Joe Mixon and Jordan Evans were at OU pro day....I wonder if Mixon told Taylor "I want him" and pointed at Ford lol.

People seem to be considering Murray to Cardinals a done deal.

Sure he's going to watch Murray, but more than likely he's there for all of the OL that will be available in the draft. Probably watch Brown too or meet him.

Is the operating assumption that they will only draft Murray if they can successfully move Josh Rosen, or could they take Murray and then try to trade Rosen afterward?

I know trading Rosen now would telegraph their choice, but with the #1 overall pick why would they care?
