Question about Andy at this point in his career.
#61
He's our QB guy
Red rifle pointed straight to the sky
Bad throw to AJ make a grown man cry
He's our QB guy

One thing that always bothered me about Dalton is that I think he's very content
As a QB.
If he never reaches a SB it will never bother him.
You never hear him say to the media or press his displeasure of not being able to
Reach the SB or much less the playoffs.
I really believe he believes if he gave it his best shot then he's cool with that .
Anybody notice your most successful QBs had a bit charisma or personality about them.
Andy is a nice guy.
But fiery or charasmatic he is not

With all this ryming going on, I guess I’ll add
But if my rhymes are weak, oh well, my bad
The Bengals this year, although some will dread
Will pull magic out their asses and get in your head

With victories on the books, you’ll swear it ain’t so
The naysayers will have to start cooking their crow
The’ll desperately wait for those losses to drop
They need to have their sorrows come out on top.

I told you so, they hope they can post
While positive stats, are said by Fredtoast.
Week after week, they preach doom and are grinning
But it’s not gonna happen, cause them Bengals keep winning.

Every damn week, we will raise our glasses
Team after team we will beat their asses
Some wins may be nasty, and some quite pretty
It will soon change the posters who were calling them shitty.

Hawks, Bills, Steelers, Ravens, Rams We will visit
Then Raiders, Browns, Dolphins, all victories, we win it.

49’ers, Cards, Jags, are the first in our house
Ravens, Steelers, Jets, Pats, Browns squashed like a mouse
All fans are on board, yep they didn’t know
That in 2019; we’d be 16-0

Playoffs in hand, we forget all that past
Our guys grind the victories cause their having a blast
Last game of the year, yeah that was our goal
ZT and crew brought home a damn Super Bowl

Lombardi in hands, it’s finally ours.
Drive home safe from your parties and favorite bars
Grab your girl, and give her the goosey
And go get yourself some victory *drop mic*!

Andy Dalton is not capable of carrying a team. He's proven that.

That doesn't rhyme.

 My bad. Here you go.

Andy Dalton is not capable of carrying a team.
His oft errant passes run out of steam
But he's all we got so carry on we must
With an organization that surrounds him with busts
Yeah, there's AJ and he has been great
But those damn feet of his seem ready to break
Give some credit though with Marvin we part
But Jesus, our right tackle is still Bobby Hart
And every first- rounder seems made of glass these days
How the hell you tear a labrum in OTA's?
And don't even look at our linebacker corps
Not 5, not 6, we only have four
But I digress for this New Dey regime
As impossible as 6 wins may seem.

A New Dey is upon us
As the Bengals head for the bus
Fly to Seattle with no Glenn or Green in Sight
Man, it will be a long flight

Seattle is favored to win by 10
But, they soon realized the new Bengals are men
They beat each other senseless on both sides of the ball
Only for the game to come down to 1 call

Zac Taylor risks the game with less than 30 seconds to go
A 57 Yard Field goal attempt wraps the game in a bow
After Andy had driven the team 50 yards in less than a minute
A make by Fat Randy and the Hawks will be bit

You guess the outcome
Our season awaits
Fat Randy miss or make

AD will be hated make no mistake
Some will never give him a break
A win or a loss, they treat him like shit
They would like to throw him into a fiery pit

But ZT is safe, it is only his first game
Bad decisions ignored and  the excuses will be lame
The honeymoon will continue for at least one more week
Or until ZT shows he is meek

2019 appears to be a long year
So if you drink grab a beer
The experts say last place
But the Bengals are small market and not their base

I hope for a win on way to the top
But sadly may be disappointed as the year progresses we flop
No twists and turns just bad football I predict
Unfortunately on more year of making me sic

My lame attempt, please don;t hate me  Whatever

2024 may go on record as one of most underperforming teams in Bengal history. Bengal's FO has major work to do on defensive side of the ball. I say tag and trade Tee Higgins in 2025 to start with the rebuild.

I'm not going to trash Andy and never have, but my one criticism of him has been the same for years, batted balls at the line of scrimmage, it cost us a pick 6 this preseason already. If he ever cleans up this part of his game, he is good enough to lead this team deep into the playoffs, (barring injury of course). All QB's have balls batted down from time to time, but seems Andy is good for one or two a game and some have really been killers. See: J.J. Watt.

*Bump*

How many batted balls at the line did Andy have today? He played a solid game otherwise.

Fair criticism. I’m not going to go so far as to say it cost us the game (it didn’t), but 4 in one game is a lot.

Hasn't this always been a hole in his game?

In yards and completions, ginger set career highs
your girl saw and was making googly eyes
Strap in for the ride, you're going to be shocked
As Opie sets more records and haters hide under rocks
Replacing Merv with offensive minded Zach
Was all we needed to revive the pass attack

He's always had an issue with batted passes. He's only 6'2" and has that 3/4 delivery.

4 is a bit much, but that was also a problem in the first playoff game against the Texans and sporadically through his career.

Dalton played a good game. Spread the ball everywhere. Besides those batted balls his only other incompletions were drops from Ross I think.

Yeah, is what it is. Just seems like it’d be something easy to improve on. I saw Wilson make a great little arching lob pass over one of our defenders today. And he’s shorter than Dalton.

Yeah. I believe the one against clowney was unavoidable, and a good play by Clowney. Would be nice if he could clean that up. Seems to happen more often with dalton than most qbs..

Stats? I never seen a stat on batted passes , and have seen Wilson have many bats through the year also

Really not that much less than 10 percent of passes he grossed 50 and 2 were deflected screens will are more common
