BUNGLE 4 BURROW COMPLETE

Mixon is FAR from my favorite player. I've made that quite clear in the past.

But the fact that you're rolling with "fanboys can't stand when someone criticizes their favorite player" after your replies in this thread is hilarious.

Hell, I believe Fred, Wyche, Luvnit. Shake, Crusader,..... are about to tell you to pump the brakes on the Andy defense.

Andy had his chances for many years and wasn't able to capitalize on them, he was part of the solution and part of the problem. Just like Marvin. So all I can say to Andy is thank you for the memories but I'm ready to move on, without Andy. For better or worse.

This coach also has Rex Burkhead... you know a guy that us Bengals fans don't think is any good.

Next...

Chad, AB, and Gordon were all great players that he took a chance on. It didn’t work out, and he moved on. I fail to see how this hurts his credibility in judging talent.

No idea where you’re getting that Bengals fans didn’t like Burkhead. But go back and look up all the “Sexy Rexy” mania we had here. If anything he was overrated by most Bengals fans.

But don’t worry, you’re losing more and credibility by the day. “Mixon isn’t a good RB” “Bill Belichick doesn’t know what he’s talking about” lmfao

Even my ignore function can’t block his abject stupidity. It’s an unstoppable force of nature.

It isn't so much as to benching him, but the way they went about it.

You really think our philosophy is a winning standpoint?  Really?

No it is not.  You don't waste good.  Dalton has shown to be good.  ZT is taking the coward approach to the failure of this season by claiming that Dalton is not "his guy" and that is why we failed.

I get it though.  However since he has laid out his cards, it is up to us to hold him to task.  He takes Burrow and he better produce with him.  Not in a "few" years.... NEXT year.  2020 it is postseason or bust for him.  At least it is in my eyes, should be in yours as well.

Im not here to defend Taylor and how he handled Andy. For the most part I think Taylor is a cheese. Im here to defend the idea of taking Burrow as the #1 player and QB off the board with the idea that we are going to build a team around him. I dont think ZT handled it well, and definitely couldve handled Andys situation a lot better. I like Andy a lot and my heart really does go out to him. I really wish he coulve had a better situation here and I hope he plays again for someone and does great.

No but young is the closest thing to it

And the browns have a top 5 roster in the nfl, they just have a qb going through a horrible aophmore slump
And a coach who doesn’t deserve to coach a high school jv team

You bought into the hype that Mixon would have been a first rounder if not for the video.  You were duped.  It is OK.

And that’s what this is really all about ladies and gentlemen...

Actually Dalton is a pretty big problem. The numbers don’t lie. Why he’s fallen apart is up for debate, but the fact is he’s not a good QB anymore.

The Browns did a great job getting the talent, their biggest mistake (again) was hiring Kitchens as their HC.

They were on a roll last season with their interim HC. I think they would have succeeded had they made him the HC.

Kitchens is as inexperienced and inept as Zac.

Their talent got them their 6 wins. Their coaching gave them most of their loses.

Just wanted to comment on Kitchens & Zac.

17 million is a really expensive backup.

That’s total bs, Shake, and you know it. I know you (and most of the mods) like Andy but this Oswaldo guy is borderline trolling when every single one of his posts are antagonistic towards anyone criticizing Dalton.

LITERALLY NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON THINKS DALTON IS THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH THIS TEAM. NOT A ONE.

Unless I just missed all the praise for Mike Brown, Marvin Lewis, Bobby Hart, Dre Kirkpatrick, John Ross, Paul Alexander, Zac Taylor, Ken Zampese, and all the rest of the forum whipping boys that this place bashes on a daily basis...

I know that's not exactly what he said. That's what I'm saying.

He may be going to a total extreme, but I kinda get where he's coming from (not to say I completely agree lockstep...again, he's going to an extreme).

I do think a lot of people believe Andy is far and away the main (not only) reason we're losing.

(12-23-2019, 10:21 AM)bengalfan74 Wrote: And praise, that's the way it's always been and that's the way it will always be.

And I think most do understand the very long list of problems with this team from top to bottom. It's just that Dalton is the most visible target. I fully believe that had the right buttons been pushed AD could have had much more success here, same with CP9. But MB refuses to push those buttons and/or doesn't know how and refuses to let somebody who does run the show.

Put Dalton on the 88 Bengals with that Oline and we're winning some games. He could have been J. McMahon on the 85 Bears. He could win with the 19 niners, name a Patriots team ?

The problem comes in because we aren't ever going to build one of those type teams or have the coaching under MB ! And Dalton isn't a QB who can take a team on his back and rise above it.

Maybe before this year. I haven't seen a soul say Andy is playing well this year. Maybe they're praising his career in retrospect, knowing he's gone. That's the only praise I've seen. I'm with ya though, it's going to take a Peyton Manning clone to overcome MB...and even then, I'm not sure we have the culture to bring the best out of a young QB.

I'm still all aboard the Burrow train though. Just have to keep hoping, I guess.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.

Spooked me a bit. Saw we were down big and then all of a sudden I look that the bottom line and we tied it up and
were in OT. Thanks to the Phins for taking us down and helping our team out in the big picture. Would of sucked to
lose Burrow man, big time. Think we have a chance now to turn this thing around if we fire coaches, solidify the OL
and add some playmaking LB's that can cover and get to the edge and stop the run.

I half expect the Bengals to stun everyone and take Justin Herbert #1 overall.
Everything in this post is my fault.

I want to preface this by saying I'm in on selecting Burrow. However, there is something that concerns me. I've been going through scouting reports on the guy as they come out and I've seen comparisons to Andy Dalton, Derek Carr and Mitch Trubisky. I've watched the guy play and he looks incredible but for scouts to be drawing these conclusions is a bit concerning.

Eh, I’ve also seen Wentz and Brady. The comparisons are all over the place. Haven’t seen Trubisky.

So if Dalton had won 4 of 18 instead of 2 then you would be okay with it.

Thanks for clearing that up, Rube.

You all still don't realize that the draft ranking of all these QBs will change dramatically between now and the draft. They always do.

Sounds about right for Son of Paul....lol. If they don't take Burrow or Young, we're headed back to the abyss.

O/T, and nothing to do with you, hate the thread about the Dalton comment got closed, I sure would like a rebuttal to a certain post....lol
