A 3rd and a conditional 2nd (could become a 1st if he plays 75% of Colts' snaps or 70% and they make the playoffs).

That's nuts.

Out of curiosity, let's say the Colts have him playing well, but have dropped an unfortunate number of games due to other circumstances. They're 5-7 going into the final 5 games of the season, the cut off for the playoffs appears to be 11-6 and they decide "You know what, we're probably not making the playoffs, we'll just bench Wentz so that we don't reach that 75% cut off point."

Would that be something the Eagles can call bullshit on? Or are they just SoL?

I'd think SoL based on the terms of the deal. The Colts are a solid team, so perhaps the Eagles aren't too worried.

Might have to wait for the fine print details of the detail, in order to know the answer to that question.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

More likely scenario — Wentz gets injured like he usually does and Colts don’t have to worry about it.

Have you looked at the rest of their roster?
They are estimated $40+ mill over the cap already, and they have a lot of dead cap tied to a lot of their high-salary players.
They are REALLY going to struggle getting below the cap.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

First off: After what Philly pulled in the last game of the season; I doubt they can call bullshit on anyone

Secondly: I'd if Wentz is playing well and staying healthy the Colts would be happy to give up the 1st and would continue to play Wentz

I'd be willing to take Ertz off their hands. He'd cost us around $8 Mil next year. If Philly releases him they are on the hook for $8 Mil, if the keep him he costs $12 Mil against the cap. If they trade him they're still on the hook for $4 Mil. So we could get him for very little compensation.
