***Official Bengals Free Agency Thread***

Some folks are too hard to please.

My mistake. I read it too quickly and missed the Reiff part. Still seems generous though.

An A is what the Chargers have done, imo.

Yeah probably but they get a point or 2 for effort in FA when historically that’s not been their strong suit.
If they can sign both Reiff and land Galloday, AND find a way to still keep Geno, I'll give this FA a B+. I'll give it an A if they end up signing another decent OL before the draft.
You can't fill all of your needs thru FA, but I'd believe they can field a competitive team week in and out with that squad + another good draft.

They would have several pieces on Defense and Offense. Let's hope the coaching staff and particularly Pollack and Taylor get the best out of the offense after that.
Reiff is a nice addition and certainly would bump the grade up, however they still need a G.

Reiff let's us dump Hart... that's awesome. Still running XSF and Jordan out there at G and that isn't good enough.

We’re also likely starting the season with Price at C (super scary). I don’t believe for a second Hopkins will be ready.

I'll give us an A if we get Reiff, Galloday, and a G like Turner.

If the Bengals did not want to sign him with a bunch of guaranteed money due to his injury history, I can't say I blame them. After the 1st 2 years, Hendrickson's contract is mostly incentive based.

Typing quickly from my phone makes my grammar messed up but i was referring to Hendrickson being more durable definitely not saying Lawson has been healthy his time here

This is according to someone on Twitter who has been hanging around downtown Cincinnati. Whether he's telling the truth or not, I'm not sure, but a few people were talking about it on Twitter.

Twitter rumour is Joe Burrow and Riley Reiff were at Jeff Ruby's supposedly with a picture but I haven't seen it.

Definitely helped Whitworth. He started at G and turned into one of our best LTs ever.

wasnt whit only at guard for a few games before Levi jones went down in the horrible year that was 2006 or did it take a year.
The whole idea this offseason was to build around Burrow and an offensive minded head coach. So far on offense we’ve resigned Mike Thomas and Samaje Perine. All the best young offensive lineman and top offensive weapons have been signed. Reiff and whoever else we sign at offensive line would be stop gap players meaning we have to hit on Guard, Tackle and probably WR if we miss on Golloday, with only 7 picks. Hoping Sewell falls isn’t a plan or relying heavily on multiple rookies. On defense we lost Jackson , Lawson, Alexander and replaced them with Hendricks, Hilton and Awuzie which I feel is a wash. Like the Ogunjobi signing because he can probably replace Geno.

Some experts are sayong Reiff would be a great guard at this point in his career or a RT

I am so ready for 2024 season. I love pro football and hoping for a great Bengals year. Regardless, always remember it is a game and entertainment.

Carolina,  I would agree and I think that'd be a pretty damn good free agency.

I do think with what we've signed already, which in my mind is making up for what we've lost if we add OL so we have some flexibility going into the draft I consider that a huge win.

We HAVE to add to our WR corp.  When I can only really think of 3 WR (Boyd, Higgins and Tate) and I don't consider Tate a starter you need a lot of help in that area.   Galloday would go a long way to fixing that deficiency.

We can't stop there though.  We need to continue giving Burrow weapons.  Gio's nice but I think we need to move on and find someone younger, faster, and quicker.

We'll see what happens because it seems Galloday is coming down to the Bengals and G-men since Allen Robinson signed his tag.

Pretty sure Whit played Guard for a couple years. Stienbach replaced Levi at OT

Lone, I was just saying this in my post a few minutes ago.

The FO needs to bring in more talent to surround Burrow.  Right now you basically have 2 WR and a scat back in Gio.  Personally, I'd cut Gio and draft a young RB in his mold in the draft.

We need more than 2 steady and good WR.  I don't consider Tate a starter because he's not consistent.   If we sign Reiff then that gives you the flexibility to bring in Chase or the TE out of Florida.   You have to get this offense some talent because honestly it's lacking right now.
Bengals just signed Galloday.

Wouldn’t that be nice to see after 3 days of nothing
