Fred Johnson is apparently being waived.

Not sure why they announced the signing just to waive him. I guess the paperwork for that is less than canceling the tender?

But no way Uzo is better than Hurst plus $3-$4.5 million.  Not even close.  Not with all the weapons we have at WR and RB.

Anyone see the big splash presser interview Uzo made in NY?  You'd think the team is bound for superbowl glory this season beyond any doubt.. 
I like the guy, but I think he'd really excel at turd polishing.. 
There is a possibility Fred Johnson ends up on the PS for just in case insurance..

If they do it'll be after the draft IMO.. He doesn't really have the shine guys like Tee, Boyd and especially Chase have.. He's never come close to 1000 yards and has never really broken the starting lineup except in those horrible seasons when they were the walking wounded..

Nil. We already have 7 WRs inked and will likely only carry 7. And I think we could easily draft one, or even two (slot/PR/KR upgrade from Taylor and an outside speed guy).

He does not play special teams. Morgan Jr, Thomas, and Taylor all do. He cannot play in the slot (Taylor). Thomas is a better receiver. Plus, Scotty Washington switched to TE from WR on the Practice Squad, so the hybrid TE/WR role is taken.
