***2023 NFL Draft Thread***
Battle’s a good player. But I still don’t get the obsession this franchise has with defensive backs.

Murphy was a good add and a big talent. Wasn’t the biggest need but it was A need. But using the 2nd and 3rd round picks on DBs, both unspectacular, after taking a busload of dbs last year is silly. I don’t get it.

A C+ grade, at best.
If you see something suspicious, say something suspicious.

Thanks, I didn’t realize that…..

You know where you fill out your depth? Rounds 4-7, not rounds 1-3.

We need a defense that is comprised of dudes who can barely drink because we're about to lock up $120 million per year in 3 guys on offense.

Heard about some medical and attitude issues with DW, watch him become a scumbag with the stoolpitt LMAO!!!

Loved the guy prior to the Draft but now...

It isn't a yes or no question due to context....

UGA played mostly 12 Personnel, which is 2 TEs. Washington was, by far, the 2nd receiving option between the 2 starting TEs. He is primarily a blocking TE.... who was taken off the board by  many NFL teams due to injury concerns.

He wasn't now was he?

It was the right spot to get him if he was the Bengals guy, he was my guy, but not the Bengals guy. so moving along.

Stromberg just went too, who was also on my list of players i wanted with that pick. Chandler Z was the last one.

I'm ok with Battle, if that's who they like then get 'em

The Rams did manage to win the SB with Scott at safety. And he picked Brady along the way.

But, I cannot dispute the fact we could use another higher end S. Do we think Anderson or Thomas is the casualty? Thomas probably. Love to jeep him on the PS and mentor the young guys.

This and no growing pains
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

Really? Really? Not like we have a RT who doesn’t want to play for us a TE who appears to be made of glass or a RB who falls over with a strong breeze.

Maybe an over reaction but tonight hasn’t been great.

Somebody help me.

I haven't been paying attention to the draft much but did we not just lose both starting safeties? Did we ever sign Apple? We also have a starting CB coming off a major injury.

Seems like DBs should not have been a shock.

On top of that who cares about TE? Burrow is gonna make some guy look competent and they are gonna be the 5th or 6th option on the offense.

And if Jonah doesn't get traded he will play at RT, if he does then they must feel like Carman did enough to earn a shot.

No I think the Bengals screwed up here thinking Washington would slide a couple picks and the Steelers ruined it.

Battle was a good value pick at the end of round 3 but the Bengals have Hill and signed Scott to a 3 year deal. Yea the more I look at this it looks like they tried to squeeze a little extra and screwed themselves.

Not thrilled with this pick. Murphy and Turner have a lot of upside. Battle seems to have more limitations. If he beats out Hill or Scott, then we have real problems. In other words, Battle is a legit depth guy.

Tell me again how many yards Mix went for in the AFCCG or how many times Burrow was pressured?

Or they're fine with Smith and Sample.

TE is a hard position in the NFL year 1. Finding a guy that can block and catch is hard.

Drafting a kicker who looks like a 48 year old sex offender? Nice pick.

It's the structure of the team. They are going to spend big money on the offense. Lots of upcoming defensive FAs coming off the books. Stocking up before that happens for cheap good talent. It's smart.
