Absolutely pathetic. They continue to play down to their competition. Maybe they’ll go another month without winning a series.

So much for that sweep of the Yankees. Means absolutely squat when you can’t beat Detroit at home. Let Cruz pitch to left handed batters and Mull pitch to right handed batters, just managing in that inning.

Another game given away by bad managing.

I’m sure Bell will have something positive to say about this game. Never a bad word about how badly they suck.

Well it’s also their typical feast or famine offense. You can’t consistently win like that.

Can’t even make a routine play now.

You do realize there's a new rule that when a new pitcher comes in they have to face 3 batters before another pitching change can happen? When the other team can pinch hit it makes it impossible for a lefty on lefty or righty on righty each time

Yea, and you can also see who they have left on the bench, before making a pitching change. Bell does the same pitcher rotation, Cruz in the 8th and Diaz in the 9th. I think the whole league knows what going to happen and keeps players just in case. Should have left Cruz continue to pitch, can’t believe they had any more left handed batters left. It’s just poor baseball management.

A waste of a great game by Hunter Greene. So Reds lose this series with Detroit Tigers. 31 thousand in GABP. Reds do have around 73 thousand fans so far. My hope is Sunday the Reds go over 100 thousand fans spending money in Cincinnati and Reds win at least one game of this 4th of July weekend series.

Newsflash most if not all MLB teams operate with a set up man and closer when they have a lead late in a game. Cruz has been very good for the most part so i don't think anyone had a problem with him starting the 8th. This was a rare bad day and just couldn't get anyone out. You would leave him in even though he couldn't get anyone out? Good thing you're not the manager.

Going 7-3 against some of the worst teams in baseball (pretty sure Tigers were tied for 6th worst record in MLB before beating us twice) before the All-Star Break in order to get a winning record is a whole lot harder when you start 0-2.

Sooner or later, you have to stop making excuses for Bell. This team is undisciplined and can’t do the basic stuff, like hit the other way to get a runner in from third. Walk people when new pitcher is brought in, in a close game.

They give away too many games by pulling a pitcher who is getting people out, only to bring in someone who can throw strikes or get anyone out.

I’m sick and tired of the way this team is managed and put together.

Bell has had his chance, it’s time to move on.

I believe 86 wins will get you into the playoffs. To make the playoffs, the Reds need to go 44-27, 17 games over .500, a.603 clip.

We have 3 series against the worst teams before the all star break, and we are already down 0-2, with 8 games remaining. We continue to play to the level of competition, regardless of who it is. Leaving us with a 50-50 chance of winning any particular game.

The sweep of the Yankees was a mirage, since they were playing poorly for 3 weeks. I would not use that as a gauge on how well this team played in NY.

As time runs out on the Reds, it hopefully is running out on Bell.

So Steer takes a pitch 6" inside and it gets called strike 3 meanwhile the first pitch to Canha paints the inside part of the zone and it's a ball?

Gonna get swept by the freaking Tigers. Just pathetic.

At least a double play to stop the bleeding.

Reds team record(hitters) for most strikeouts in a game is 18. Thru six innings, they have 12.

edit..that's wrong

Marte is a butcher at 3B. He somehow makes Candelario look competent defensively.
