I can't imagine being a fan of anyone but the Bengals, but CJ Stroud might make me a fan if Burrow never returns to a 525 yard form.

I think the issue is largely scheme. Going Cover 2 basically blows our offense up.

In our SB year, how many big plays came from Chase or Higgins making a crazy good catch or run after catch? That's not a scheme, it's relying on individual talent to overcome lack of scheme.

I saw some next generation stats and Burrow only threw 5 or 6 balls over 10 yards. Dink and dunk.

Now that Burrow is highly paid, it takes salary away from other parts of the team. So you have less veterans and more young guys to make mistakes. And our scheme doesn't help them.
KC does it every year. Last year very inexperienced recievers. Defense kept them in and receivers developed. Super Bowl. They constantly make up for losses. We lost our best run defender on one of the worst run defense and expected to be. Better. Sunday may have shown the opposite. Also I never played football and I c. Most of the time figure what they are doing. So I am sure the pros know what they are doing.

I thought the playcalling, the scheme, play designs, route combos were just bad. And when i get mad I’ll say stuff like this.

But im ngl yall i got really into watching all-22 game tape and rewatching games and 90% of the issues with our plays is the players screwing up. I would watch games and literally every bad play whether it be a pass play on offense or a run D play on defense, was because a PLAYER. Most of the plays if blocked up perfectly were good plays. Either a lineman mostly
Volson and Cappa are missing blocks due to lack of athleticism or guys are missing tackles or filling in the wrong run gaps.

It was always something. Very rarely did i feel i watched a bad playcall.
Tha many mistake is coaching. Unless it is only one player then what is he doing on the team

Our running game with Moss wasn't terrible and beating a cover 2 is done easily with a good running game. Burrow didn't target Chase enough,
we were in the Shotgun once again entirely too much, we played vanilla and overlooked the Patriots clearly. Of course scheme is a problem if all
these things keep up. But expect this to change against the Chiefs this week, we will see.

This is a routine throw for Burrow. Instead, he doesn't even read Chase. I am not sure what this is. Is this play drawn up to not include Chase in his progressions against single high? I have a hard time believing that because that leaves a 1-on-1 with Chase. Did he not see the safety rotate down? I don't get it, but Chase is open. He has to get him that ball.

I am not a huge fan of the playcall here, being third down and running double double-moves, but you have a shot here to Iosivas. He has inside leverage but with the safety shaded towards Chase, Burrow has a lot of field to throw this ball to. This is a play that he normally takes a shot on, but...he just doesn't. He panics, drops his eyes and takes a checkdown. In fact, he does the same thing in the video above. He did it all day, it felt like. He looked extremely uncomfortable all game.

I don't know what it is and I don't have a strong opinion on "scheme" or anything just yet because I haven't really seen what they are doing. What I do have an opinion on is that Burrow looked very shaky yesterday. He panicked quickly, resorted to his checkdown quickly and looked to bail even when there wasn't pressure. He had good protection yesterday. The line did their job in pass pro.

Yes, these are a couple of the clips I saw too. Something was off with Joe.

Maybe one QB is playing within the system, and the other is not ..... perhaps overthinking it.

Taylor is 2 marbles rolling around in a tin can. Has no concept how to devise offensive plays. These plays are right out of high school playbook.
