CAN'T Blame the Defense
#41
Defense played well enough to have us win especially 3 turnovers, offensive on other hand did not get it done. 2 FGs inside red zone, 4/13 on 3rd down , crucial turnover that was difference in game and sadly we were in position to close out game and did not get it down, 0-2 start 3 yrs in a row.

Eh....this is one of those "the ball didn't bounce our way" kinda days. A depleted defense held their own. The offensive game plan was brilliant. It was a great game to watch, and makes me feel a whole lot better moving forward. Gotta get Jackson, Jenkins, and Murphy back. Hendrickson looked unstoppable today. Really just a back and forth affair that ended with a bad penalty for the good guys.

It's too simple to say 'defence lost us the game' or to blame it on any one piece... the run defence was bad again, but otherwise most facets of the team played well. We lost due to too many game-losing errors. One was by the 7th round rookie, but Burrow fumbling for a TD was an enormous game-changer too. I don't think we lose without that, as the Chiefs did very little (I won't call it 'nothing', to appease the guy in GDT) in the 2nd half.

Yep, the scoop and score was very costly.

This team is a mess, from the top down. Too many egos, hurt feelings over money, the "look at me, I'm Joe Brrrr" platinum hair, Tee and the milking of the hammy. They are definitely off this season, Joe included.

Makes me sad. Makes me mad, too. I thought they were gonna come out and dominate, for them all to get to NOLA for the SB. Boy was I wrong.

The O line will NEVER be fixed, ever. I give it two or three more weeks before his first injury, sadly. They are TERRIBLE!

I am really tired of the repeated sacks and holding my breath hoping Joe gets up. What other QB has had that many serious injuries, that required a surgical fix in four seasons?? Is MB back in charge? I am being serious when I ask that.

Idk but I am so over it and I think he is too. Can't blame him for feeling like he does, it's written all over his face. With that said, I still cannot with that hair.
When did Zac start calling defense?

I may be wrong, but it was a four safety look.... that's why the kid was in there.

This was pretty much my take on this situation. Really think they should've held the flag in that situation unless it was egregious.  I mean I think I saw more egregious fouls not called on hail mary throws in the 1 o'clock hour this week.

That's a bear hug on Ossai at the top.... should've been at least offsetting.....

Spot on Wyche like always. Cannot win them all and we gave them Chefs one heck of a scare. The Ravens didn't scare them this bad that is for sure.

There were times when Arrowhead was as quiet as I have heard it for a while. We get our boys back and we are on a run I have no question.

I'm worried about the DL for a few weeks for sure.....but I liked what I saw. There were some errors, sure. A couple were caused by the opponent. The game plan on both sides of the ball was good, I felt. I didn't like that prevent on 4th and 16, but that's kinda league wide. I felt like the runs were called perfectly and efficient. I loved all of the TE targets. I mean shit, look at Drew Sample out of the gate, LoL. Gesicki had the bad drop, but otherwise played a whale of a game. Eric All looked great. They took the World Champs to the wire in their house. Much better than last week for sure. Gotta get off the schnide next week and get some momentum rolling.

Yes sir, we always start out slow but last year the first 2 games were both worse than these first 2 IMO.

I like that we actually showed up this season by the 2nd game. We didn't really show up until the 4th or 5th game last year.

Get our DT's in there and we should be okay, our Offense is showing some signs unlike early last season and we learned to tackle in this game
against the Champs. Pacheco is always a tough task and he gave the Ravens a lot of problems too.

When you have more FGs (4) vs TD (3) not a good sign

Chiefs inexplicably abandon what’s working when they play us. I think the D did a good job on Mahomes but they could have killed us if they stuck with the run game. They gave this game away and Zac Taylor still found a way to **** it up.

You do understand KC ran 30 times vs 25 passes.

Worrying thing about the game, besides the loss, was the injuries.

McPherson's missed extra point sucked. So did the pass interference on 4th and 16.Those two plays killed them.

They need to be LOT better against the run. If you want to be a good AFCN team, you have to run & stop the run.

He makes the extra point, KC goes for 1 not 2, KC still up by 1, plus that killed us was havingva chance to up 2 scored and Burrow fumbles and KC  scores
