Therapy Moving Forward

Agreed 100%, but they kept Pollock all these years costing us a SB and an AFC Championship, Lou is smiling saying Im not going anywhere, its the Browns and for them to make those changes means THEY have to do some work.

What we can realistically do the rest of the season (because this is exactly what will happen) is go on a little run, win approximately 7-8 out of the remaining games, have our playoff hopes up until about week 17 until we are mathematically eliminated. End the season right around .500, look a little promising to get our hopes in for next year, all while we mess up our chances of a top 10 draft pick

I do not disagree necessarily but I am trying to be positive here and come up with any ideas or plans to improve that make sense. Those were my only ideas but was hoping to hear some others.

Thank you for your post though!

I want to bash this team and coaches as bad as the next guy.

What can we realistically do the rest of the season? Taylor is not going anywhere.

Do we trade Tee for instance for some draft picks or defensive players? Why not at this point? If so what could we get for him?

Can a new DC make a big difference or is this a roster issue?

I like that we ate a lot of clock trying to help our defense. Does anyone else have any good ideas of what we could do going forward? Even if not for this season like trading Tee for picks etc.

PLEASE - No doom and gloom. Enough of that everywhere else. (And I enjoy venting as much as the next guy or gal)

PS - I love you all and thank you for your support during this depressing time. If we Bengals fans are good at anything it is hope and support.

I probably wouldn't trade Tee just yet but it's a couple more losses away from doing that. It seems like Lous scheme is not only tough for a secondary to pull off but it's not prone for turnovers/picks. Way too many bad throws today to not make them pay for it was a killer.

Hire a true general manager, I believe it starts there. Someone not affiliated with the bengals. Really look at scouting time for changes ther next to a no brainer qb pick and receiver out #1 picks have sucked for years. Look at all the linemen we have wiffed at. Lots of lost capital. We had a good two year run. What else can we hope for..

Plan to strongly consider moving to a 3-4 or 3-3-5. The Bengals don't have 4-3 DEs that can pass rush, and can't seem to address the problem in the draft or FA. The team currently has enough DTs for a 3-4 rotation with more good LBs than LB spots. Dialing up pressure from a 3-4 should easier than trusting Hendrickson to solve the problem on his own.
