Any Hope for CBJ?
They need a damn goalie.

Bad enough that they've lost and Elvis got chased, but I hate the ***** Avs. I was a Wings fan back in the day and I've hated them ever since the '96 conference championship. Would have loved to see Darren McCarty climb out of the stands tonight and beat the shit out of some Avs.

I spent a decade living out in Colorado and appreciate the Avs. Good organization who absolutely does everything possible to win. Landeskog is one of my fav NHL players.

I have family near Denver and visit on occasion.  I understand why they complain about the traffic and all the building.  It's not really the same place it was even 25 years ago.

They're pretty much going to have to sweep this home-and-home with the Sens if they want to stay in the race for that last WC spot.

Montreal is winning 3-1. CBJ is going to be 6 points out of the last wild card spot. Tonight is the final nail in the coffin.

Aren't you a Bengal fan?  It ain't over until the math says so.  Granted, that may be soon, but it ain't today.

Yes i am but with how they are playing and who they have left to play in the 7 remaining games, it would take The Miracle on Ice 2 to sneak in the playoffs.

Perhaps, but I'm waiting to see what happens tomorrow and Tuesday.  A sweep and there's still hope.  Short of that, probably not.

And they promptly go down 2-0 5 minutes in and Tarasov gets the quick hook. They're done.

Well, try not to be too disappointed about being right.

Going into the game tonight they are 8 points back of Montreal who has 87 points for the last spot. They have 5 games left including tonight which means they can get to 89 points if they win out. Basically either a loss or a Montreal win officially eliminates them.

They need to get a goalie during the offseason.

Another win tonight which keeps their very slim playoff chance alive.

The season had some fun moments, but it's hard to get into the games right now.

Montreal finally lost tonight keeping he deficit at 6 points. CBJ has back to back against Washington this weekend. Montreal plays again tomorrow at Toronto. CBJ needs to play their best hockey of the season to keep any hope alive.

Montreal lost in OT so they got 1 point. They sit at 88 and CBJ at 83. Detroit is officially eliminated by that 1 point leaving the last spot to either CBJ or Montreal. CBJ has 3 games left including tomorrow evening and Montreal 2. Easiest path is CBJ win out and Montreal lose out in regulation.

CBJ completes the weekend sweep and stays alive! 3 points back with 2 games to go.

Montreal is at home tomorrow against Chicago and Carolina Wednesday.

CBJ is at Philadelphia Tuesday and Home against the Islanders Thursday.

Montreal has to lose both games in regulation and CBJ win both to get in. I believe Montreal has the tiebreaker so a tie in points is no good.
