Kamara is a RB of questionable character in his age 29 season who:
-Hasn't been above 4.0ypc in FOUR YEARS
Hasn't had a single rush of 20+ yards in two years (over 300 straight carries without a 20+ yard rush)
-Has 4 drops so far this year (9.3 drop %)
-Is under contract next year for a $22.4m base salary

Was surprised when the Bengals did not draft a RB and thought it was a mistake.

Yet still would not want to make this trade per his age and declining skills.

I really wanted Kamara back then. He's pretty long in the tooth, and hasn't been all that effective on the ground lately.

I really don't see the issue of drafting Mixon over Alex, both had solid stats in College, and were high recruits out of high school ( Joe was top ranked out of HS). Both had issues, obviously Mixon was more serious but I think Alex dropped into 3rd round because of concern with knee injuries .   Also Alex came into a much better situation with New Orleans as a top tier NFL team, while Mixon came into the Bengals on a down hill trend his first 4 years.. flip the two players and Mixon would probably be the better player stats wise.  In the end though Alex has had a better career but Mixon has been a solid back in the NFL, so it was not a bust or overreach pick, just one of those splitting hair picks between two solid college RBs both with concerns.

That's a hot take!

Whule I don't exactly shre your opinion, I cannot disagree with you having it!

Personally, I think the best defensive player to trade for is Jeff Simmons from TN. He could fit under the cap with a little work and would keep the full team in tact.

Same scouting department philosophy that took 30 years to win a playoff game.  2 playoff seasons in 3 decades isnt great.  Which Mike Brown granddaughter are you?

The free agent pick ups brought the bengals to the 21 super bowl. Now imagine if they didn’t screw up the Carman pick which everyone knew was trash

Did Maxx Crosby single handedly destroy the Steelers?

I would be excited to get Simmons as well. I even proposed a Simmons for Higgins trade earlier in the offseason. Might not take Higgins to get him now but who knows.

Draft picks. Give up draft picks. The Bengals aren't that great at drafting anyway.
