Zac's Prevent Offense

same zac taylor that has taken the team to the superbowl, AFC championship and conference championships two out of the last three years.althought it would be fun to see what Hue jackson could do with Burrow, etc...there would be some good energy there......of course, there might be stuff going on that we are unaware of..I still dont think Burrow is nearly 100%..But..@ least we have a professional NFL team that we can yell about..LOve our Bengals but I think that this will be the year of Detroit and KC..keep up the great posts

What I do think is that he's so caught up in being a "nice guy", not wanting to appear to run up the score on opposing coaches, and wanting to micromanage the offense to a point that they become ineffective when playing with a second half lead.

Idk about that. He certainly had no problem doing it to John Harbaugh in the game he let Burrow keep throwing it to drop 500 on them.

Truth, I have backed Volson at times, but not when he is playing terrible just like any player.

Yes, he needs to get this thing fixed no question.

We are Bengals fans, not Volson fans. We just were hoping it would turn the corner for him and it evidently hasn't.

We are going to have to put Guard in our plans early in the draft along with DL it is looking like.

True, just win baby is all I can say. Happy the Defense is getting decent, we will see how decent against the Smeagols and that
running game with Saquon Barkley. The Offense has shown it can be very good so things seem to be coming together.

Zac has a damn good resume' that is for sure as Bengals HC. But sometimes the play calling is pretty bad and very predictable.

Did you feel the need to repeat yourself within 1 minute?

Please show me your source on the Browns having the top passing defense in the league?  They give up more yards per attempt than we do.  They have a worse passer rating than we do.  They have ONE interception on the year.   They have good players, but we could not run against them and with over 6 minutes in the game that is too early for me.

And I will ask you once again, which one of Mike Brown's granddaughters are you?

I wasn’t moving the goal posts. I didn’t realize we were talking about us having the ball with 8:34 on our own 3. Yep we ran 3 straight times and 3rd and 7 from our 16 with the way our punter has punted decided not to risk an interception. The clock ran another minute and now it’s 5:40 left. They proceeded to throw an interception leaving 4:04 and forcing them to call all their 3 timeouts with 3 straight runs. . McPherson misses the FG making it 3  scores. He misses but they still have to score twice plus a 2 point conversion. No I’m good here.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

The problem with glorious beatdowns, is we have to face them again this season. Why give them motivation for revenge?

Run was the right call. People just don't want to admit it and take the win.

You've made posts before where you put a loss on the players and not the head coach. Perhaps the AFCN titles, the AFC championship, and successes are because of talented players like Burrow more so than the head coach.

Of course, it isn't that simple as it takes an entire organization to experience both success and failure.

Zac is still 8 games under .500 as a coach so I hope he continues to improve and demonstrate he can adapt instead of sticking to a fixed way of coaching a game.

Not sure how Burrow's quote has any relevance to me wanting to get a first down or 2 with a lot of time still on the clock?  Additional first downs burn way more clock than 3 dives up the gut for a total of 2 yards.

The crazy thing is that Im not a Zac basher, I gave him the benefit of the doubt in the Ravens game, even though counting on a 50 yard FG as automatic is not the greatest idea.  Some of you cannot handle the slightest bit of criticism towards a football coach?

Yeah, ONLY Zac Taylor could have done this, no doubt.  Im sure McVay, O'Connell, McDaniel and others would have flopped having Burrow and Chase and Higgins...

add LaFleur as "others" as I like his coaching. Dude is 61-29 in 6 years. Love might be the QB to eventually get their organization another Super Bowl victory.

I think we already have a Lombardi with the combination of say Burrow and Dan Campbell.

That certainly helps. But they lose their best defensive player in Hutchinson and still go out and beat one of the hottest teams in the league. Gotta give Campbell a lot of credit.

After the loss in the NFCCG last season, Lions fans were out in full force with their pitchforks after Campbell...

For losing by 3 points to a stacked 9ers team?

He seems pretty beloved from what I can tell.
