Trade Ideas
#21
We are not a player away.
Bengals would be sellers.
No one would want to come here to watch their career die.
It'll be a quiet day come the trade deadline.

The bengals need a butt load of help on Defense. We couldn’t sign, or draft enough players to turn that unit around in one season.

Keeping Higgins still won’t help, if we still can run the ball.

You guys are putting more thought into this than Duke and rest of the brain trust is. I assure you.

That's the frustrating part.

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

I do not think we will be involved, one way or another, in any trade talks, as usual.  We are not totally out of it, yet.

The Bengals kept Tee to make a SB run that looks as if it is not happening even with Higgins on the roster.

Time to move him for something before he walks to a division rival for only a comp pick that can't even be used until the following year.

let's go radical and trade chase and tee... for bunch of #1 picks, kinda like the one the bears with Ditka had proposed but x2 this time arround. Build the D to the teef and use all of our talented TEs to win. Trading one to the Jets would work, they are so bad it will take them a couple years to become a threat with Chase or Tee.

Isn’t it almost time for the Brown Family to take their annual ski trip to Switzerland?

Nah, Spirit Airlines doesn't fly to Europe.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

This is a little too close to the "This may not work" years of the Palmer/Chad era for comfort.  To paraphrase Lrrr from Futurama "Is this better than the Palmer era?  Yes, but not by enough."

Agreed.

I mentioned the 5 game stretch of Panthers, Ravens, Giants, Browns, Eagles as a deciding factor for the trade deadline and 3-2 was the worst possible outcome for that stretch. It keeps the team in a holding pattern at 3-5 with a not good Raiders team upcoming.

Chiefs just traded a 6th rounder for Josh Uche. It does get frustrating watching other teams address needs for next to nothing in draft capital.   Whatever

Excellent deal for the Chiefs but would be a meh deal for the Bengals. Uche would help a little but not likely enough to get the Bsngals into the playoffs and he would be gone at the end of the season so it would be no player no draft pick.

What it would've provided is some situational pass rush talent...which this team severely lacks. They shouldn't let a 6th/7th round pick keep them from trying to improve right now. Beyond adding a player, I would like to see them fire Lou and let Bettcher take over the reigns for the remainder of the season. At 3-5, and with the D looking lost, there's not much to lose at this point and sometimes an in-season change can light a fire, especially with a quality former DC like Bettcher.

Sure does get frustrating. Damn Chiefs!  Whatever

Draft picks are not near worth what the Bengals think they are. Proven players are much more valuable.

If the Bengals were at .500 or above I would be all over Josh Uche for a 6th. This off-season I hope they try to sign Uche or Azeez Ojilairi as possible rotational pass rushers... but giving up any kinda future capital for a half season rental during a losing season is bad roster management.

Edit: Bengals are currently in a similar situation with Tee Higgins half year left not coming back next year losing season...
