Jermaine Burton still doesn’t know the freaking plays
(Yesterday, 09:23 PM)TheLeonardLeap Wrote: I think for me the real red flag is he is out ALONE. You got 52 other guys on the roster, 15 guys on the PS, and all the trainers/equipment guys/etc... and he couldn't get a single one to hang out with him? Does he have no friends? Is he making no connections with anyone on the team? Or do they not want to spend time with him?

That's the things I suddenly worry about seeing that picture.

If you were another Bengal player, would you want to be seen at a casino with him after last Saturday? Not only did he let the entire team down, most probably don't want to be collateral damage when the coaching staff sees that picture. "Hey Burton, how much time did you spend in the playbook this weekend?" "None coach, I went and played the slots." Sad thing is, you KNOW if he seriously asked Chase, Higgins or even Burrow for help understanding the playbook, they would more than happily work with him. This guy is a straight up tool.

Pacman Jones got arrested again in the last year for disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and making terroristic threats. He still hasn't figured out his life, I don't think he should be giving too many words of wisdom to anybody.

I don't care what your problems are when they say he was a 'no call, no show' that just doesn't cut it. In this day and age theres not reason you can't communicate if you have an issue and can't show up. Not giving any notice is inexcusable, especially given this was was going to be a big opportunity for him. And given he was part of the game plan that you now have to modify within a short time frame, Burrow should be pissed

Imagine the offensive staff. They likely put in a very long night Saturday readjusting their gameplan. They did a pretty damn good job of it too.

He definitely comes off as having "coddled star athlete syndrome".

He's not drag racing cars like the Georgia football players.  He's not flashing weapons on the internet like Ja Morant.

If given a choice, I'd prefer Burton has his own problems over those.  Not that his problems aren't troublesome though.

I mean, sure if you want to call it that: he adopted him and his brother as their legal guardian, a bit more than mentoring.

On the Burton stuff though, I want to point out that (I'm not a doctor or medical professional, btw, if anyone has wondered lol) Burton looks like a CLASSIC case of being on the autism spectrum. Not that he's autistic, but on the spectrum.

Given that my son is almost 3 and we've had to look out for the myriad of signs of autism (he isn't autistic, FTR), I see a ton of what to look out for, in Burton:

1. Lack of focus (both what we're told in meetings and how he's looked in interviews)
2. Wanting to be alone
3. Awkwardness and a clear lack of social skills

I don't think he necessarily needs a handler or anything like that, but when Zac said that he needs support and the like, that is also a classic case or someone on the spectrum, to keep spirits high and to remain high-functioning.

Daryl Hannah is also autistic and she wasn't diagnosed until she was in her 50s or whatever and she said it made complete sense as to how she thought and felt growing up.

Really wouldn't be surprised if Burton is the same.

Hilton didn't bother to pull him aside, he put that shit on blast  LMAO

This is where I am at. They worked hard all we week to get this guy ready to play on Sunday. They pretty much told him, it's your time to shine with Tee being out and how did he respond? Showing up late for an important walkthrough, in his pajamas and not caring that he was late. Not sure if he feels entitled or just a complete dumbass.

As someone who used to put tactical plans together, readjusting a game plan at the last minute is usually a recipe for disaster. They did do a pretty damn good job of it!

Yes sir! He took him in after Slims death and last I looked CH Jr is was #1 WR in the country. He has a season ending leg injury, but is the #1 WR recruit in this cycle.

Life can be a struggle for some. Ts, what he's done with Slims boy is quite admirable!

1)
Burton has  2 catches this year. don't make him out to be an integral part of this offense and somehow he let the team down 2)this is not Jr highschool nor do you have any idea as to who likes Burton or not  3) Burton is playing Thursday.....fondly remember when most Bengals fans wanted chase gone after the dropped passes in his first two games

Adam has anger issues but he's done a wonderful job mentoring Chris Henrys children

We need to do whatever it takes to make and keep him a Bengal, when he comes out of the draft.

Whether he is WR1 or a 7th rounder, he needs to be on this team.
